Hi everybody Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at this RV furnace vent bug screen. This bug screen is going to help stop the invasion of unwanted insects, pests and debris into your RV furnace vent. This is designed to fit your Atwood RV furnace vent. And the wire mesh is going to permit proper air flow while preventing wasps and birds and mice and other things from building nests that may interfere with your vent's air flow. This is heavy duty stainless steel and it's going to do a great job of resisting rust and corrosion and really has very little flex to it. And this is going to be a relatively easy install.
I'm including the instructions there on your screen so you have an idea of what the installations gonna be like. You're going to want to locate the anchor points on the exterior of your appliance vent and then you're just gonna place the screen over the appliance vent and mark the location of the anchor points on the screen with like a felt tip pen and then attach the springs shorter end to the marked anchor points on the inside surface of the screen. And then place the screen with the attached springs over your appliance vent holding the rounded end of the installation pin that comes included with this. And then you're gonna insert that pin through the screen and center of the attached spring to insert the pin notch on to the center bar of the coiled spring. Then you're just gonna push that spring hook past the appliance anchor point and then turn that installation pin to hook the spring on to the anchor point and release slowly.
So that's really about it and all that's really included with installing these. Let me pull out my ruler here to give you the overall diameter. We're sitting right at three and a half inches. You're gonna get one bug spring with this, screen rather, with these two springs and then the tool that we talked about to help you install this. And I want to point out that this screen must be inspected monthly and cleaned when necessary to make sure that you are maintaining that proper air flow.
Well that's gonna conclude our brief look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
