Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a brief look at this RV furnace vent bug screen. This bug screen is going to help stop the invasion of unwanted insects, pests, and debris into your RV furnace vent. This is designed to fit the Atwood Hydro Flame 8500 RV furnace vent, and the wire mesh is going to let proper airflow while preventing wasps, and birds, and mice, and other insects and pests from building nest that may interfere with your vent's airflow. This is pretty heavy duty. It's a stainless steel construction and it's gonna do a great job of resisting rust and corrosion. This is going to be a pretty easy install as you see there on your screen.

Just use a screwdriver, or even a dime, to loosen the two screws on your heater access door. Open up that heater access door and place this screen in the framed area of the intake exhaust opening, and that screen bubble should protrude through the exhaust port opening. And then you'll just close the heater access door and secure the screws, and then the screen will be held in place when that access door is closed. Now let me pull out my ruler here and just give you some overall dimensions beginning with the height. We are sitting pretty close to five inches tall.

And then the overall width, we are sitting right at about four and a half inches wide, and you are gonna get one bug screen. And I do wanna point out that this screen must be inspected monthly, and cleaned when necessary to make sure that you maintain that proper airflow. Well that's gonna conclude our brief look today.
