What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out these refrigerator vent screens from Ultra-Fab. So these are gonna be replacing the existing screens or maybe you don't have screens installed, but we're just gonna put them in there so that bugs can't get up in and in that area, so it's less to clean up later on. Let's check it out. Taking a closer look at the screen, you see how it fits to the grooves here in this panel. There's no space on the ends for any bugs to get in through there.

And then the screen, the holes in the screen itself are small enough to where wasps, moths and flies aren't gonna be able to get up and in that area. It's gonna be made out of a stainless steel construction so you don't have to worry about it rusting and corroding out in the elements. And the screen's gonna allow proper airflow for the refrigerator as well. The screens will be really easy to install. They give you the zip ties that come with it.

I suggest getting a few more just to zip tie in a couple other places, but otherwise it won't take you that long. Check out how I did it. First thing we wanna do is go ahead and remove the panel behind the fridge. I'll show you the existing setup and how it's not really working out. And you see they have some mesh zip tied to the vents but some bugs did get in on the inside.

So we're gonna go ahead and snip off these and replace them with the new ones. And once we remove the first ones, we're gonna repeat the process for the other two. Now when you go to set the screens in place, you just slide them in about here. You might have to modify the sides and cut. Ours fits pretty well so we're not gonna have to cut anything, but I do have the snips just to show you what you'd need to cut out a little bit more just to make sure you look in there and see that it's got all the coverage you need.

You don't want any gaps in there, 'cause that's where the bugs are gonna get in. And this looks pretty good the way it is, it's gonna come back with zip ties and you put two on each screen. Gonna go in through the back. Something else I would suggest is getting three more zip ties. That way you can come here to the center and get this completely sealed up. You see there is a little bit of a gap. It's not too bad or anything, but I wanna go ahead and add one more to each. That way it's sealed and no bugs can get in. With all the zip ties in place, I'm gonna come back and cut off the extra. Put the grate back into place and we're done. Overall, really easy to get that installed. Looks way nicer. I know that bugs aren't gonna be able to get in now that it covers all the sections here of the vent much better than the screens we had in there before, and that's what it's all about.
