Video Transcript for TorkLift Weight Distribution TLM9010 Review

Today we're going to review part number TLM9010. This is the torque lift, 12 and 1/2 inch adjustable shank for the torque lift super hitch Everest weight distribution system and a 30,000 pound weight capacity. This shank is a heavy duty sturdy shank, which will slide in to the torque lift super hitch duel receiver trailer hitch, and it provides a mounting point for the Everest weight distribution head. Again, this is designed to work with the torque lift, 30,000 pound Everest weight distribution system, which is part number TLWD1000. We do sell that separately on our website. This is an adjustable design, which allows for drop or rise to fit your application. It is a powder-coated steel, which is very sturdy and corrosion resistant.

When you do install this into the duel receiver trailer hitch, it does require a hitch pinning clip or a hitch lock. If you already have one, you can use it, if not, we do sell those separately on our website. This part is made in the USA, and again the application is designed to slide in to the super hitch, the torque lift super hitch 2 inch by 2 inch duel trailer hitch receiver. Weight capacity on the shank when used with weight distribution would be 30,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity, and 3,000 pound tongue weight capacity, when used in just a regular weight carrying situation would be 20,000 pounds gross trailer weight capacity and 2,500 pounds tongue weight capacity. I'll give you a few measurements on this. Overall length is going to be right at 12 and 3/4 inches, the height is going to be right at 12 and 1/2 inches, and the bolt holes for the adjustments, there's eight of them, they are all at a diameter of 1 inch bolt hole diameter. That should do it for the review on part number TLM9010, the torque lift 12 and 1/2 inch adjustable shank for the torque lift super hitch Everest weight distribution system with a 30,000 pound weight capacity..

Been pulling a large heavy trailer for a year now almost every weekend and am still impressed with this hitch ! Its beefy ! No worries about having the strength to safely and easily tow heavy and or large loads !

  • Does Torklift Everest Weight Distribution Shank Fit Other Brand Systems
Unlike most other weight distribution shanks out there the part # TLM9010 does not fit the standard dimensions like you are looking for. This has wider holes for the head to attach to that are spaced further apart. For a similar shank that has 9 adjustment holes we have the Reese part # RP69FR.

  • Weight Distribution Hitch for 35-foot Toy Hauler with Tongue Weight Near 2000-lbs
The key to selecting a properly-rated weight distribution system, one that will deliver the correction required without resulting in a jumpy or erratic ride quality, is to determine the trailer's tongue weight when it is fully loaded with all toys, equipment, supplies, etc, just as it will be when you hit the road. A system that is too soft will not deliver the weight re-distribution to your tow vehicle's front end; a system that is too stiff can result in odd handling characteristics,...

Yes. In order to bumper tow a trailer of that size and use a TorkLift Everest system like the # TLWD1000 you'll need to remove the factory hitch and install a dual receiver like the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2-1/2" and 2" # TLD1111-30. This dual hitch receiver provides the support needed to tow a trailer with that tongue weight and GVWR. In addition to the new hitch receiver for your vehicle, the SuperHitch Magnum does not come with a hitch...

The ProPride 3P Weight Distribution Hitch w/ Sway Control # PR47QR works for a tongue weight of 850-1,400 lbs. Unfortunately you would already be over this tongue weight capacity before you even loaded the trailer. When it comes to choosing a weight distribution system tongue weight is going to be the most important factor. It is safe to assume that you will be quite a bit over 1,435 lbs once the trailer is loaded. From what I have found and assuming this is the newest model, the GVWR...

There is one weight distribution hitch option that is rated for the 2000lb tongue weight you mentioned, but it will require you to replace the trailer hitch receiver on your 2021 Ford F-350 Dual Rear Wheel. The TorkLift SuperHitch Everest Weight Distribution System - 30,000 lbs GTW, 3,000 lbs TW # TLWD1000 will work with tongue weights ranging from 1500-3000lbs but will only work with their TorkLift Magnum Dual Receiver Trailer Hitch Receivers. I think a fair assessment would be around 1,500 lb based on the numbers you mentioned. It does look like your truck isn't sagging though which is a pretty good sign. For a 1,500 lb tongue weight we have the Reese Titan kit part # RP66006 which has a tongue weight range of 1,000 to 1,700 lb tongue weight range. Then for a higher rated shank that fits a 2-1/2 inch hitch size we have theTorklift part # TLM9010 which has a 30k capacity and works with the Reese WD system heads and the Torklift...

When picking out a weight distribution system you have to factor in also the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle as tongue weight. So considering the approximate weight from the camper added into the tongue weight of your trailer you'd be in need of our highest rated system from Torklift part # TLWD1000 which has a tongue weight range of 1,600 to 3,000 lbs. You'll also need a new shank as well with part # TLM9010.

I called my contact at TorkLift and asked about the tongue weight for their SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # TLD1108-30. The overall weight capacity and tongue weight capacity is for the entire hitch and not just one receiver. To be able to get to the 3000-lb tongue weight capacity would require both receiver openings. • Recommended Weight Distribution for Trailer Tongue Weight of 2194 lbs.
When you use a weight distribution system, it does not add more weight to the ball or the coupler, It disperses the weight across the frame so the trailer will handle better. This doesn't mean you can use a coupler rated for less weight than what your trailer can handle. Couplers aren't normally rated for tongue weight, so are you sure it doesn't specify 21000 lbs towing capacity versus 2100 lbs tongue weight capacity? • What Size Hitch Pin Does The Adjustable Shank For TorkLift SuperHitch Everest WDS Use?
The Adjustable Shank for TorkLift SuperHitch Everest Weight Distribution # TLM9010 uses a 5/8" hitch pin. If you're looking for one, I recommend the etrailer Receiver Lock # e98881. • Weight Distribution System for 16k lbs Enclosed Car Hauler
I have two recommendations depending on the tongue weight of your trailer when it is fully loaded. The total tongue weight is the loaded tongue weight of the trailer (typically 10-15% of the trailer) as well as any cargo behind the rear axle of your Ram 2500. If you are closer to the 10% side of that scale I recommend the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control item # RP66075.
