If the loaded tongue weight (TW) of your trailer is around 2,300 lbs then any weight distribution (WD) system that is rated for a max of 1,200 lbs TW will not be strong enough to help out at all. Check your TW to ensure that it is 10-15% of the loaded weight of your trailer. If it isn't you need to move stuff around until you achieve the 10-15% area.

If it is already 10-15% of the loaded weight of your trailer then the only WD system that we have that will help is the TorkLift SuperHitch Everest # TLWD1000 which has a TW range of 1,500 lbs - 3,000 lbs. This system requires a special trailer hitch and a dual shank receiver like part # TLM9010 or # TLM9011 as well as a 2-5/16" hitch ball # C40085.

Let me know if your 2,300 lbs of TW is correct along with the year/make/model of your tow vehicle and I can see if we have the special trailer hitch for you. If your TW isn't 2,300 lbs let me know and I can recommend a replacement head and trunnion arms to fit your needs.

If the loaded TW of your trailer is 1,050 lbs and you won't have much gear sitting behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle then I recommend sticking with the Reese Strait-Line and getting part # RP66074 which has a TW range of 600 lbs - 1,200 lbs. This is the whole system minus the shank and a hitch ball. If you just need the head unit and arms then you need 2 of part # RP66009 (arm) and 1 of part # RP58167 (head). If you have more than 50 lbs behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle when it is loaded and ready to go then I recommend going with the 1,500 lb system # RP66130 instead. This has a TW range of 800 lbs - 1,500 lbs with the replacement arm being part # RP58369 (you need 2) along with the same head unit # RP58167.
