Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this replacement wiring harness for your Thule Terrapin or your Thule Transporter hitch mounted enclosed cargo carriers. Now folks, this, again, will replace your standard four pin trailer connector that was originally included with your Thule Terrapin or the Thule Transport enclosed cargo carriers. Now, it does give you a nice length of cable here, wiring. It's got the built-in grommet. Let me actually zoom in overhead so you can see some of this stuff closer.
So you get the four pole, four flat, four round, whatever you wanna call it, connector. It's got this nice heavy duty wire loom all the way around. And you got the grommet where it'll go in through the carrier itself. That'll help keep water and weather out of the carrier itself or the box. You've got both the left and the right side plugs for the back of those lights that are included in your carrier.
They simply push in, very simple install. And you've got the two butt connectors already on the two wires, brown and white. So if all the instructions included match up just the way it is when you take out the old one that's either damaged or worn out or what have you, and you should have no problem installing this. Well folks, that's gonna do it for our look at this replacement wire harness. Again, it's a Thule direct part, so you can be sure it's gonna fit your Thule Terrapin or the Thule Transporter hitch mount cargo carriers.

It sounds like you have a problem with the running lamp circuit, as the license plate lamp is on the same circuit. I'd first test the trailer connector on the vehicle while the headlights are on. I went out to the warehouse and test fitted the LED lights inside the original grommet that comes with the Transporter part # 05253. The pigtail that comes with the Transporter part # TH05254 fits the LED lights so there will not be an issue plugging the new lights in.
