Now this is going to replace one strap assembly for your Thule sup taxi stand-up paddleboard carrier. And on your screen, I am including the model number of that carrier that this is going to fit. And this heavy duty rubber coated steel reinforced strap is going to hold your board in place on a saddle, as you no doubt are familiar with.
And this does not include the chafe guard, but if that's something else that you're looking for, I'm including the model number on your screen for that chafe guard. Now, this is the direct replacement from Thule. So what that means for you is you can trust that this is going to fit right in place of that original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, or anything like that. Chafe guard (8522946001) sold separately.I ordered two replacement straps for my Thule SUP Taxi Stand-up but I guess I ordered the incorrect straps because they do not fit. etrailer did follow up to ensure my order arrived safely (it did). I explained that the product I ordered was the incorrect product. erailer provided me with return policy and return label. If I return the product within 60 days they will refund me my purchase amount less than $XX for shipping. This customer experience makes me trust the etrailer and when I am in need of other products I will be sure to check them out. Thank you.
These replacement straps are perfect for the Thule SUP taxi. They are longer than the ones that come with the original. It is very useful to have extra length for our paddle boards in case we need to bring 3. Great quality and price and you cannot beat etrailer for amazing customer service.
Our original straps were damaged storing them inside the rail. The bolt inside was long so the tip of the strap would catch, eventually tore the end and the reinforced wire came through. We filed down the bolt with a 3/4” metal file. It was easy and we wished we had done it sooner. I’ve read that the new version of the SUP taxi fixed this isssue.
Use for surfing a lot with my SUP taxi double carrier. No ripping/fraying so far.
They are just what everyone else said they were! I needed the longer straps in order to get 3 SUP's on. And good service from Etrailer as always.
