Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Thule replacement three-wing high M8 hand knob for your Thule roof-mounted watersport carriers. Now, this is going to replace one lost or damaged three-wing high M8 hand knob. This is going to work for the Thule Rooftop Canoe Carrier, the Thule Rollercoaster Rooftop Kayak Carrier, as well as the Thule Set-To-Go Rooftop Kayak Saddles. All those part numbers that you see on the screen there.
Because this is a direct replacement from Thule, you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of that original and no worries about compatibility issues or anything like that. This will just simply twist to thread on to the end of a M8 carriage bolt to secure your carrier to your roof rack load bars, make sure that everything is gonna be nice and secure for you. We bought a used Thule rack for our kayaks and lost one of these early on. After a bit of research we found etrailer and ordered replacement (and one extra!). Etrailer shipped the parts promptly and at a great price. Glad I found them - so much cheaper than the alternatives.
Parts I ordered were exactly what I needed. There was a delay in shipping due to the third party but etrailer was very prompt in responding and took care of the issue quickly! Much appreciated
So glad etrailer carries these, i needed to replace a couple of the knobs from my old thule roof rack, and i couldnt find these knobs anywhere else. They work great for securely transporting my canoe. Shipping was a little delayed, but etrailer reached out to me quickly to let me know the expected date & make sure that that was ok.
Ill tell you what I think. Thule could do a better job of making these knobs. Ive been complaining to them for decades that the plastic part cracks when you tighten it just a little more than lightly tight. They should be made of Solid aluminum !! The steel nut inside is steel. But the outer functioning 3 wing knob is plastic and it just doesnt hold up.
Product was wrong size for Thule 554 surf racks and did not fit. Bolt diameter on Thule 554 surf rack was smaller than Item 753-0776. It was advertised to fit all outdoor water sports rack equipment.

I confirmed with Thule that the correct replacement wing nut for your Hang Two Surf Carrier 554 is part # 753-0783.

Thule must make different kayak rack components because this was way too large for the bolt. I have the dockglide Thule kayak rack system.

This knob will not work for the dockglide because it uses an m8 carriage bolt. The good news is that we have a knob that uses a m6 carriage bolt that should work: item # 753-0783.

The part is just a nut with a plastic knob. Not much to say there. But the SERVICE from etrailer is AMAZING! Seriously - it feels like either I am the only customer or they have 1000 people managing the site. Super-friendly. helpful, and PERSISTENT with my weirdo request to make all my accessories 'track' compatible. I think I will buy something else right now!
This is a nice product but its the wrong size. There seems to be four different kinds of these. I just wish they would explain exactly the thread type and bolt size this fits, the metric measurement. Just stating it holds kayak rack is not correct because thats what I bought it for. It is too big for my Thule kayak rack. I had to order two other sizes to make sure I get the right one.
If you are looking for one of these just order all of them so you get the right one.
I bought some replacement hardware for my Thule rack system. Part of the order was backordered, but they stayed on top of it and the remaining parts came just two weeks later. Fast and speedy delivery and great tracking app, too!

I lost two wingnuts for my Thule rooftop canoe rack. Etrailer had exactly what I needed and got the replacement parts to me very quickly. Very pleased.
the fact that i can source these roof rack parts is great. the canoe carriers have been discontinued, and their new "universal" parts seem to be not what i am looking for. i am quite happy that i can repair or replace (and that i can even find) what i need in one spot. nice that the shipping is tracked. always happy with etrailer service.
This item was an identical replacement for the cracked knobs that came with a non-branded rooftop cargo carrier that was purchased used, and the original owner said he bought it new in Europe. I had trouble finding replacements, but once I determined they used 8mm threads, e-trailer's Thule knob looked right, and it was.
Absolutely what I was looking for. Brand new knobs for my Thule canoe rack brackets. Great price too so I ordered 2 extra. Shipping was very fast and well packaged.
It is exactly what it says it is and fits my older style canoe brackets as it should.

These are high quality replacements for worn out or broken Thule canoe carrier stops. I use them often, year round, and they eventually require swapping out. These are solid replacements.
etrailer is outstanding - needed a hard to find part which they found and then they kept me up to date on ordering status as they searched for (and located) another part that I needed. The customer service is fantastic - highly recommend!
There is not much to be said about hand knob for an older canoe rack. They are identical to my 20 year old ones. What should be appreciated is that etrailer had the parts for an older canoe gunwale support.
Quick n' easy...from finding my product to paying and shipping...when you NEED spare parts b/c you spent good money on good products, BUT they don't make sd product OR parts anymore? Thank goodness for retailers like ETrailer!

Perfect replacement for my 30-year-old, cracked Thule knobs. Be careful to order the correct size. The nuts in these knobs are M8. Another model knob has smaller, M6 nuts.
Perfectly replaces the 17 year old cracked knobs for thule canoe carrier.
