This particular nylon pin didn't fit the switch I had on my PJ trailer. The OEM breakaway is part of a Defender system braking system. Somehow the top part of that plastic pin where the breakaway cable attaches had broken off and all I needed was a replacement pin and cable. But as my photo depicts, all pins aren't made the same. 604166

I contacted tech support (Kyle) at etrailer.com to ensure I was ordering the correct replacement break away cable assy for my horse trailer. Tech rep Kyle asked some clarifying questions and told me which part I needed. The break away cable was priced competitively, works perfectly and arrived on schedule. My trailer is now safe again. This product was inexpensive and arrived in a short amount of time. I was informed from my 4-star trailer manufacture this breakaway cable and switch would work. However, my trailer is only 4 years old but an updated size had ocurred. I ended up having to buy a new device for the 2010 to work.606585

I just removed the old pin that had fallen out of the switch and put the new pin into the existing switch that came with the trailer

It doesn't really fit with the original Esco brand but I am going to cut the wires and install a whole new assembly. It will work with what you sent to me It seems that the Esco nylon tip has two rails. One at the top and one at the bottom. The boat and trailer I have are a 2009 model and probably doesn't fit with what is available now. Thank you very much for your help and fast shipping and delivery. Great customer service.
