Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here@etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the tailor-made teak wood boat flag pole. This is going to measure 18 inches long in total. And this is going to be a nice attractive pole for our flag to fly from. It's made of a durable Teakwood.
So teak is known for being weather resistant, water resistant. Has a really nice, fine tight grain. So it's going to keep out any water resistance. Any kind of rot or bending and warping. Now, the one that I have here today does have a little bit of a bend to it.
So I'm not sure if that's just how it was manufactured. Maybe it just got a little wobbly on the lave, but it is supposed to resist any kind of warping due to sunlight, harsh winds, or abrasive salt water. So it should last for a long time. Have this little knob at the top and then our sort of fitted end there so we can get this fitted into place. Does have a little bit of a taper going up.So at the very bottom, it's about three quarters of an inch in diameter, maybe just under that at 11 sixteenths.
And then up here, it's closer to about 13, 16. So it does taper a little bit to widen out, to give you a nice secure hold inside your three-quarter inch mounting hole. The fattest part of it is about one and a quarter inch in diameter. So, this would probably work best with the Taylor Made skipper flag clips, which actually kind of twist and drill into the pole rather than ones that ride along the pole itself. Since it does have that tapered design.
