Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Taylor Made mounting socket. This is going to allow you to mount a one-inch diameter flagpole on your boat so that you can proudly fly that flag whenever you're cruising around on the lake or out at sea. This is made of a heavy-duty steel. So it's going to hold up really well.

You're not going to have to worry about it breaking. Even with the drag of the flag on the flagpole, it's going to hold up well. This will attach to your boat's gunwale. The mounting hardware is not included; you'll have to pick that up separately. Just take three screws, drill down in there to hold it in place.Our overall dimension of our base is going to be right about two and eleven-sixteenths of an inch diameter.

Now, I've got a flagpole here to show you just how easy this works. I've got the one-eight Allen wren. Allen bolt pulled out there. We can slide our flag into place and then just tighten that Allen bolt down using our one-eighth Allen wrench, and it'll hold it in place so we don't have to worry about losing our flag or anything like that. Now, this mounting socket is at a ten-degree angle.
