It has worked very well

Had purchased a trailer hitch model bike rake from disreputable company with " 4x4 " in its name. The smaller clamp arrived broken. This seller gave me the run around and no help. All I wanted was a new clamp. Ran across Etriailer on line looking for this part. Chuck with Etrailer was a total help in researching my questions for answers on this part. Nothing wrong with the hooks used to hold down the bikes. They work fine and the customer service obtaining this extra hook was excellent. The 1.25" hitch insert is really to small for this type of function. It allows to much rocking of the bicycles especially if you are hauling more than one. I'm adding a third hook in order to provide a better upper strap attachment point to stabilize the bicycles better when the road is rough. I am of the firm opinion that all bicycle racks mounted on a hitch insert should use the 2" insert instead of the 1.25". It is the only design that makes sense from a metal fatigue/engineering standpoint.597017

The product has performed very well

I'd lost the short Ratcheting Hook for my Swagman XC Series 2 Bike Carrier preventing me from transporting 2 bikes. I was able to locate a new replacement hook from etrailer.com quickly and for a reasonable price! Identifying and ordering the right part from their schematics was easy. I received a shipment email notice the next day and the hook arrived 4 days later, Everything transpired as expected or better. From my experience I recommend etrailer.com!279343

I was surprised to find this replacement part on etrailer but there it was priced very reasonably. I had been looking on Amazon and they only sold both the long and short Swagman Ratcheting Arms and they wanted about $76 for both of them. Add to that they were out of stock too. I ordered this replacement arm from etrailer.com and it was shipped promptly and at a very reasonable cost. I will always look first on etrailer.com when it comes to anything that can be hitched to my car/truck.459143

This bike rack system is as easy as it gets when traveling with hikes. The rack and hooks are very strong and I never feel like I'm in danger of losing a bike . I was totally satisfied with my rack and would buy another one if I lost mine.276350

Its a very functional system. Unfortunately I tend to take the hooks of f and lose them. Ive also bent two of the feet and lost one of the bolts that attaches the feet to the rail. Looks like you will get more of my business soon. -

Great to finally receive the replacement hook for my bike rack. For some reason it was back ordered from the factory for months but etrailer continually kept me notified throughout with updates. I have a Swagman bike carrier and accidentally ran over the short ratcheting hook with my Jeep. It kind of crushed it a little, just enough that I couldn't slide it over the bar. I wasn't sure that parts would be available, but was very pleased to find out that I could order the hook by itself.
