Today we're going to take a look at the replacement long frame hook for Hollywood Racks sport rider or trail rider Z spec bike racks. This part will replace the long frame hook on your Hollywood Racks sport rider or trail rider Z series bike carrier. It is designed to install onto the upright arm of the bike rack, and it does ratchet in place. You just push this down to move it up or down the upright arm. It's used to hold your bike to the rack. It has a nice, rubber coating on the hook portion here to protect the frame of your bike from any damage, and it adjusts along the upright arm with these push-in-to-release lever.This lever is lockable, so if you do want to lock it...
Right now, it's made to where it will open it up and slide up and down and ratchet. If you take your key, once you get it in your position, turn it that way. That will lock it. It still allows you to push on it, but it doesn't push in all the way, so it won't release it, so it keeps it locked. Once you put that over your bike frame, it'll keep anybody from coming up and pushing this and removing your bike.
Once you lock it, there's no way this arm will move. And then, if you want to take off your bike, turn it to the unlock position and it'll allow you to ratchet it up and away to get your bike off.It is for a quantity of one long frame hook. The overall height on this from the bottom to the very top of the hook is 14". Good product, just like the original. However, I ordered both the short and long hooks and they came with two different lock numbers, so I have to use two keys now. How unprofessional and stupid!

Nice to be able to easily replace one of these. Interesting that there's apparently just one key for all racks like this because the new keys worked on the other arm locks from the original rack I bought from you.

After a year I have regularly used this superb bike rack with no problems. We carry 2 ebike and it carries them well. Very sturdy and simple to use. I definitely recommend.
