Hi everyone, it's Evangeline, and today we'll be taking a look at our replacement or additional Econo Porch trailer steps here at etrailer. So if after some time, some wear and tear has happened to the handrail on your Econo Porch, or you want to get a second one to complete your set or your look, that's where this part comes in handy. It includes the handrail, again, a direct replacement, but it also includes the hardware to install to your steps. So this has steel construction but it also has this powder coat finish. Since this is designed to stay outside of your camper or your trailer for your entire season, this helps to resist corrosion and rust since it will be exposed to the elements. Now, let's take a closer look at this because I do recommend touching it up every now and then.

As I was using the steps, I had some tools in my hand and those scratched away at our handrail, and this will happen over time, especially with regular use. So I do recommend using a black paint marker whenever you see scuffs and scratches like this to prevent corrosion building up. Having both of these is very helpful for that extra support and stability when going up and down the steps. Usually, there's just one, and that may make you a little bit uncomfortable about leaning over to this side. Something with these handrails though is I do recommend just using them for bringing yourself up and down, and I do not recommend leaning against them.

There's a little bit of movement for the side to side motion, but it's really strong and sturdy for the up and down. I do see us being helpful for people with their DIY projects, since maybe they're making a deck or they're creating steps for their hot tub and they want both of the rails. Now, remember with both of the rails, when you have it up against your camper door, this is going to happen. You won't be able to fully open your door, and it will hit against the other rail. So just keep that in mind.

So this is gonna include all the hardware you need to secure your handrail. You may get some extra bolts actually, but what you just need are the two long bolts as well as two nuts. So I start with the bolts already in the handrail. That way I just pop it into our steps and then they can secure themselves while I get the nuts in place. You're gonna use a 7/16 inch wrench, as well as a Philips head screwdriver to secure the bolt and nut.

And with those two bolts, your policeman or additional handrail is secure. So I personally, I'm a huge fan of this being an option for addition to your steps. Maybe you only want one rail, and then you find out you want the second. Maybe you have a project going on, we want the full step.
