Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at these exhaust outlets for your Rock Tamers mud flaps. Now these flow through adapters are going to let exhaust vapors pass through your Rock Tamers mud flap system, helping to prevent damage from hot exhaust gases if your mud flaps are mounted close to your tailpipes. So these are for use on your rear-facing exhaust systems. And as you can see there, I have a picture showing you what these adapters are going to look like when they are installed on your Rock Tamers mud flaps. So the polished stainless steel covers are as you can see, stylish, they're gonna be corrosion resistant.
And then, the powder-coated metal screens are going to protect the inside of your tailpipes from road debris. Now each adapter is two pieces. I do have them, they're gonna come like this attached with the four screws. You'll have to remove the screws, and then separate these adapters when you are installing them in your mud flaps. So these two-piece outlets are going to screw together anywhere on your mud flaps.
And again, the included hardware, you'll just secure these two pieces back together when you have them installed on your mud flaps. It will include a template that's part of the packaging and it also comes with this chisel to help you cut a hole in your mud flap. So this includes everything that you see here on the table before me. You're gonna get these two adapters. While we're here, let me go ahead and just give you some measurements so you can have a idea of the size of these adapters.
So looking at the outer diameter, we're sitting right at 5 1/2 inches. And then, the inner diameter, 4 inches. That's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

Just installed, looks good! My only suggestion is they should include a step by step video for each part of the process. Written instructions just not good. Also if Rock Tamers want to advertise with the metal plates that attach, man make it easier. Like 16 nuts, washers and bolts!

- Rock Tamers Heat Shield or Outlet Vent for 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 3.0 DieselDiesel exhaust is much hotter than gas exhausts so while the outlet kit part # ERT200 is pretty clever I would recommend going with a heat shield instead with part # RT76FR. There isn't an exact distance that's recommended between the exhaust and the heat shield. In order or the vent to work the exhaust would have to be pretty close to where the mud flap is and it would need to point straight back which I don't believe is the case for your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 diesel.
