Video Transcript for Review of Roadmaster Replacement Even Brake Motor Home Monitor - RM-9410

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this RoadMaster replacement Even Brake motorhome monitor. This is going to work with your RoadMaster's Even Brake braking system. This is going to be a direct replacement for that motorhome monitor that originally came with that supplemental braking system. So because this is a direct replacement from RoadMaster, you can trust it is gonna be compatible. You're not gonna have to worry about connection issues or anything like that.

It is going to be a direct replacement for that original monitor, so it is going to mount into your motorhome to keep you updated on the braking activity or changes in status or battery power for your system. This will provide the LED and LCD as well as auditory alerts. So your LEDs are going to use the red, yellow, and green lights to let you know when the brakes are being applied, the system is not operational, or everything is good to go. The LCD display there is going to show text messages to let you know exactly what is happening with your Even Brake. And then the audio tones will sound to warn you of any emergency braking conditions.

So just like the original, very easy to get programmed. They do include instructions for you to make sure that it is going to be synced with the rest of your system. So you can trust it is going to be compatible and get you up and operational again. This is made here in the USA so you can trust it is gonna be good quality. It does come with a limited lifetime warranty, so if you we're to have any issues with it you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com.

But because this is a direct replacement from RoadMaster, I am very confident that this is going to be exactly what you need. It's gonna meet your needs and allow you to be mindful of what's happening with your braking system. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Product is just as described; however, that was not my problem. My old unit had shorted out and blew a fuse where the two wires enter the 12 volt plug. This, of course, was not fault of etrailer but appeared to be a deficiency from the factory.

  • Troubleshooting A Roadmaster Even Brake Motorhome Monitor That Can't Be Reset
I spoke with Roadmaster about your issue with your RoadMaster Even Brake Motor Home Monitor # RM-9410, and they mentioned that if you have already plugged it in an unplugged it and there's still an issue, then there is a fault circuit board issue and the whole unit would need to be replaced. I know that's not ideal since you have just received the new monitor, however this is going to be the best solution for you.

  • Troubleshooting a Roadmaster Even Brake Giving a No Brake Switch Error
This error has come up in the past and Roadmster has said that since your brakes were operational and now are not, then you will need to re-wire the brake light relay that was included with the Even Brake for it to work correctly when the fuses are pulled. It's also worth checking your fuses and make sure nothing was blown in the process as that could be a reason why you're getting the brake switch error.

  • Even Brake Will Not Pass Self-Test and Shows "Not Opertaional, No Brake Switch Detected"
There are a couple of things that could lead to the problem you are having with your Even Brake supplemental braking system # RM-9400. I checked with Roadmaster and the first thing the mentioned pertains to the vehicle it is install in. There is a replacement motorhome monitor for your Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400, which is the following part: - RoadMaster Even Brake Motor Home Monitor # RM-9410 If the Jeep still has the ICX transmitter and the full breakaway kit, the only other thing you would be missing is the monitor. The fact that the arm is only depressing twice means that it is detecting something that isn't quite right on the system. I spoke with Roadmaster about this, and they said that the Roadmaster EvenBrake # RM-9410 is looking for voltage from both the EvenBrake & the ICX box, the programming, the brake away sway, & the dinghy vehicles brake switch.
