Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Hayes/AL-KO Driver's Side Disc Brake Caliper for the 10,000 pound to 12,000 pound brake assemblies. Now, this part right here, this will replace the left-hand driver's side caliper on your Hayes/AL-KO 10,000 pound to 12,000 pound hydraulic disc brakes, and we call this a left-hand driver's side, and to tell if the caliper is a right or left side application, you just look at where the bleeder port is, this is your bleeder port right here, this will always be at the rear of the trailer, so if that's gonna be at the rear of the trailer, that'll tell you that this is for the left-hand driver's side. Now, the hardware and brake pads are not included for this, we do sell those separately. This is for a quantity of one left-hand disc brake caliper. Now, if you do need the right-hand side brake caliper, we do sell that separately on our website, it's part number BP18-060, and if you need the brake pads for this caliper, we do sell those also, it's part number BP04-400, those brake pads are for one caliper.
And then the retaining bolts, if you do need those, they'll hold the caliper to the mounting bracket, we do sell those, part number BP18-105. But that should do it for the review on this Hayes/AL-KO Driver's Side Disc Brake Caliper for the 10,000 pound to 12,000 pound brake assemblies..

- How Do I Know If My 10k AL-KO/Hayes Brake Caliper Is For The Right Or Left Side Of A TrailerThe KH97202 caliper you have pictured can actually be the left (driver) side or the right (passenger) side. So it wasn't necessarily installed backwards and I found a couple pictures showing that they used to put that casting number on both sides.
