Today, we're going to be taking a look at a grab handle from Polar Hardware. This is going to be great for use on trucks, trailers, campers, really a variety of applications to assist with getting into and out of your unit. It increases overall safety as well. This is made from a steel construction with a chrome finish, so not only does it look really nice, it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. The handle is going to give us a diameter of 1/2 an inch. Your mounting hardware is sold separately. It's got a total of 4 mount holes, 2 on each side.
If we take a measurement of the grab area, we're measuring from this point here to this point here. That's going to give us a measurement of about 6 1/2 inches. The overall length, measuring from edge to edge, that's going to give us a measurement of about 13 1/4 inches. The mounting tab width, that's going to give a measurement of about 3/4 of an inch and then the thickness of that mounting tab is going to be about 5/16 of an inch. The mount holes on each tab are going to be separated apart from one another on center by 1 inch.
Mount hole diameter is 1/4 of an inch or it will accept 1/4 inch diameter hardware. The mount holes are wider at the top, which is going to allow for the hardware to mount flush, so that's a nice design to have. A few last things I want to mention. We're going to go take a measurement from the center of this hole to the center of this hole. That's going to give us a measurement of 10 1/8 inches, so that means outer hole to outer hole is going to be right around 12 1/8 inches. We'll go ahead and take one more measurement from the tabletop to the bottom part of the handle.
Doing that, we can see that that's going to give us a measurement of about 2 inches, so that's going to be about the, or excuse me, about 1 1/2. That's going to be the clearance we have from the mounting surface to the closest point of the handle right there at the grab area. That's going to do it for today's look at the grab handle from Polar Hardware.

Exactly, what I needed. I replace the plastic handles ( The Arizona Sun) several times on my toy hauler rear door. Installed this grab handles and they look and work great. I would purchase again.

Handles are just what I needed. Well built & heavy duty. The 2" dimension was a little mis-leading. I thought that was the diameter. I'm sure they will work just fine.
