Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products Assist Handle. This is going to help make it a little easier to get in and out of your RV by giving you a place to put your hand as you're climbing up the stairs and coming back out.So this is going to feature a nice rubberized grip. So there is a little give to it. It's kind of squishy, feels pretty good in the hand, and it helps to give you that extra purchase.
Since this is a nice long grip, we'll have plenty of room to grab it either high or low, whatever we need. So different people of different heights will be able to use it without any issues. It is made out of a plastic construction. Comes in this white color, but it is also available in all black if you prefer. The dimensions for this, I'll give you some measurements here. So for the overall length, it's about 19 inches long.
And then the distance between our mounting holes, we'll have two mounting holes on either end. For the furthest out ones, or the top to bottom, it's about 17 and three quarter inches apart, center to center. For the middle ones, it's about 15 and three quarter inches. The inside edge of our handle.. The inside space is about 15 inches.
So between this portion of the handle and the same spot on the other side is 15 inches. The width or approximate diameter is about one and three quarter inches across. So should be fine for most people's hands. Maybe some little hands, maybe grandkids, little kids, things like that, they might have a little harder time getting their hand all the way around it, but should be able to still grab onto it and climb up into the RV.As far as the overall height or distance that it comes away from our surface, it's about three and a half inches. And then it's about two and a half inches of space in between the mounting surface and the inside of that handle. You can see these two little pieces. These are just going to protect the ends of our handle to help keep out any buildup of water, dirt, and debris inside that handle.
Since it is made of plastic, we shouldn't have to worry about any kind of rust or corrosion or things like that.It looks like there might be some kind of drain holes in this construction, but actually I take that back. It looks like it is just a closed construction inside there. So this helps keep anything from getting in there and causing any rattling or water to come seeping out later on. Also helps protect the surface of your RV from any damage there. So it does not come with any hardware to mount this. You will have to fix up some hardware on your own. The diameter of each of those mounting holes is about a quarter of an inch, maybe about five sixteenths. So as long as your hardware has a diameter of about that, or a little smaller, should be just fine to work with this handle. It is covered by a lifetime warranty from JR Products. And that's pretty much going to do it for our look at the JR Products Assist Handle with Padded Grip for RV entry door. Thanks for watching.
