Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at an RV 30 amp receptacle. This industrial grade receptacle adds or replaces a 30 amp receptacle on your RV. The backing plate and the mounting hardware are included. Here on the backside is where you connect your wiring. It's a three wire design, terminal screws are included. When you're tightening those screws you want to do that according to the spec which is listed right here.

It simply says, "Tighten terminal screws to 25 inch pounds."And then right here you have your wire strip guide so you can place your wire on there and that shows how far you need to strip it back then you can place your wiring in here, tighten the terminal screws. White wire goes here and it says white right by that hole. Green wire goes here and it says green right by that hole as well. That way you can easily get your wires where they're supposed to go and then your third wire goes here at the center connection point.The amperage on the unit is 30 amps. Voltage is a 125 volts.

Few measurements to go over with you real quick. I did take a measurement edge to edge going this direction and that plate measures around 2-1/2 inches and then going this direction top to bottom, it's about 3-3/4 inches.That's going to do it for today's look at the RV 30 amp receptacle.
