Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Malone installation hardware. Now this is going to allow you to install a Hobie style carrier on your Malone trailer. This will work for all Hobie carriers to get them installed and have a nice, solid connection for you. So you can see it's going to bolt around the frame on your trailer there and give you the connection point so that your Hobie style carrier is going to be nice and securely attached. And you're going to get the top bolt here that's going to secure your carrier to the bracket, and then the bracket will fit around your trailer's frame.
So this is going to be about an inch and 1/4 in width, as you can see there. I just have these very loosely installed, so the max is gonna be a little bit less than an inch and 3/4 tall to get around your frame there. So if you are needing to install a Hobie style carrier on your Malone trailer, this is the hardware from Malone so you can trust it is gonna work well with your trailer, gonna do a good job of giving you that solid connection that you need. These brackets adapt all Thule kayak racks to the Malone bars perfectly! Nothing else works as good or is as solid. Great product!
