Today we're taking a look at a Furrion replacement 15 amp plug for RV power cords. This male plug can be used to build a new RV power cord or to replace an old plug on a cord. It does feature safety lock terminals. It's a heavy duty marine grade construction with the polycarbonate and polyamide casing. It has the nickel-plated brass blades for corrosion resistance. It's tested to marine UL and cUL specifications.
It meets NEMA 5-15P standards and it is a universal fit with other brand plugs and cords. It's yellow in color so it increases awareness. It's highly visible. Amperage is 15 amps and voltage is 125 volts. Now, it does come with some instructions here, so I just want to show you the imaging on that, because it has a nice detailed breakdown of what you need to do to gain access to the back side, like those safety lock terminals. So you're going to have this strain relief bracket here on the back side as well as an insert, so you need to remove these two screws.
It's going to remove this back plate right here, and it's going to remove the internal components there like that strain relief bracket. Then on the front, you're going to have three screws to remove right here on the faceplate. So you remove those, you can take this insert, pull it out, feed your wires through the unit, and then connect them to the back side where the terminals are located and the connection points, and that's really all there is to it.That's going to do it for today's look at the Furrion replacement 15 amp male plug for RV power cords.
