Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement driver's side fender assembly for the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly. Now, this part here will replace the left side or driver's side fender assembly, it has the built-in LED taillight on your Demco Kar Kaddy SS tow dolly. Now, the tow dollies we do sell separately on our website, may come in as a part number DM9713045 or the DM9713049. Both of those, again, we sell separately. Now, this fender is a nice, durable plastic construction, has a nice gray finish to it, and if you look on the inside right here, they do have this galvanized black powder coat finish on the metal mounting bracket, this will resist rust and chipping.
Now, this part will include everything shown here, it includes the fender with all the labels and reflective stickers on it, comes with the mud flap which I've attached to show you how it looks on there, comes with the red LED taillight that gives you the brake, tail, and turn light function, has the rubber grommet that it sets in, comes with the wiring harness installed with the retaining clips, and then the wiring harness here to connect it to your lead to the tow dolly, and it does have a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this all goes together. Now, this is the left side or the driver's side fender assembly, we do also offer the right side, the passenger's side fender assembly, that's also available, it's part number DR74FR. But that should do it for the review on the replacement driver's side fender assembly for the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly..

Only one small issue, my mud flaps don't match. Everything else was great including the phone conversation when I ordered.

New fenders are not constructed the same as original. More plastic less metal. Also do not come with new metal mounting plates to reinforce where the fender is bolted on.

I feel that better connectors could have been used connecting the running light on the front of fender to the brake/rear light. otherwise, everything was ok with installation.

I like the steel "Y" shaped steel fender mounting bracket. It might be better at preventing the cracking and excessive vibration of the original single "over the top" steel strap.
The mud flap is a different color and style from the original and the mounting holes in the flap and fender do not align properly. The angle of the bolt will place stress on the plastic fender and HOPEFULLY not lead to it's cracking as that has been a major problem with the fenders that came on the Kar Kaddy SS dolly.

This was a good replacement fender. However, I only bought it so I could sell the dolly which I did right after replacing the fender. The problem with these plastic fenders it that they have a tendency to crack and come apart on the road. Also they self destruct when you blow a tire.

You mentioned that your mud flaps do not match. What were the color of the original mud flaps? What color did you receive on the new one.
