Today we're going to take a look at the replacement right side ratchet wench for the Demco Kar Kaddy 3 Tow Dolly. Now this is a replacement right side ratcheting wrench for the Demco Kar Kaddy 3 Tow Dolly and that tow dolly's part number DM9713046. We do sell that tow dolly separate on our website. Now the left side winch, if you need that one, we also saw that. That's sold separately. It's part number DM5432.
Now this will install to the front of the wheel platform on the tow dolly and this winch is what will accept the wheel hold down strap and tighten that strap around the towed vehicle's wheel and tire to hold the vehicle to the tow dolly. Can see right here, if you can just crank it. Once your tie down strap is inserted in here, then you just crank this to tighten that strap up and then once you get it tight enough, you can use this snapper pin to just lock the handle.You run it through the hole right there and then lock it and then it'll keep the handle from operating and it will hold it to the tow dolly. Now the tie down strap that goes in here is not included. They do sell three different sizes and, again, we do sell those separately on our website.
For a standard tire, they use part number DM03528 for smaller tires they use a DMO3528-81 and for larger tires a DM03528-93, and again, all three of those are sold separately. Most of these items that we do sell separately are listed on this product page as a related product. But again, this part is for one winch with the snapper pin to lock the winch handle and then again, just to show you how to operate that is remove the snapper pin. And again, you can just store it over into this hole when it's not being used so it doesn't flap around. And then again just to...
You can see just by ratcheting that, you can tighten up your strap.And again, if you have to release it to move the handle, you can use that to release it. But that should do it for the review on the replacement right side ratchet winch for the Demco Kar Kaddy 3 tow dolly.

Exactly the part I ordered. High quality. Old winch was damaged on road. Removed bolt which allowed damaged winch to be removed and new winch installed. Add on new strap and back to towing my car behind RV. RV and tow dolly parts etrailer has been spot on!

The new ones are smaller on the front side next to the dolly, not as thick, and that makes them loose, but hopping they will stay in when they are turned on with a car on board! The ratchet seems to work well.

This includes the bushing, spring, bolt, and washer as well. The pawl # DM05450 is available on its own but Demco recommends using the kit to replace all of those parts when making a repair. If you're referring to the L shaped bracket that hangs down with the spring attached at the top then it is not available as a replacement. The only choice would be to get a new assembly # DM5433.
