Today we're going to be taking a look at part #DW09645. This is the Deka battery hold down kit. This is going to secure the battery in the engine compartment. It's designed to be a replacement for a GM front base mount wedge. That's going to include the bolt, the washer and the nut and it's going to come with the hold down. A really simple installation and process to get everything installed that way you can hold the battery down in the engine compartment. The lip on the hold down is going to catch the lip on the battery, that's what's going to hold the battery in place.
It's made of a durable plastic construction and it should last you a long time. Once you have this installed, again the lip is going to catch the lip on the battery. All you would do is place this down through here. This is going to come down through the slot on the bracket that it mounts to and then you simply just tighten everything in place by installing the nut. Get it nice, tight and secure and that's going to catch that lip on the battery holding it firmly in place in the engine compartment. That's going to do it for today's review of part #DW09645.

Fit and held battery in place perfectly. I will be using this piece permanently to hold my second battery in place in my engine compartment. Much better than using battery hold down straps. Worth every penny spent.
Got exactly what I was expecting, battery hold downs were missing in my '01 2500HD and these were a great price for brand new ones.
