Today, we're going to take a look at the Furrion 12 Volt Combination Dual USB Charger and Receptacle With LED Indicator.This allows you to add an additional or a new charging station in your vehicle, whether it's an RV or a Jeep, or pretty much anything where you'd need a power connection for any accessories.You'll have the 12 volt universal, car, cigarette connection on the one side and our dual USB on the other. There's also going to be an illuminated, power smart LED power indicator so we know whenever we can charge those up.Both ports will have a watertight sealing cap. It just gives you industry standard protection against any dust or moisture so you don't have to worry about anything getting in there and causing any corrosion or shorts in our charging station here. Those caps are going to be made from a durable silicone. The body of those ports is going to be made of a nylon, so these are going to be corrosion resistant materials. Our terminals are also going to be made of brass and nickel plate.Now this bracket can be attached by the four holes on the front.

Basically, you just want to remove that ring nut at the back, measure out the distance in between the two. The measurements are given in your instructions. So you'll use that center point as your drilling center point, drill out the holes for those ports to go into and then secure it with the nut on the back. That's just going to secure the port inside that bracket and then the bracket itself gets attached by those four holes. Now the hardware for the bracket is not included so you will have to pick that up on your own.

Those holes are kind of beveled in so there's a cone shape so you can get some recessed bolts to make that look nice and flush.Now the overall dimensions on our bracket is going to be about 4 and 3/16 of an inch long by about 1 and 3/16 of an inch wide, and the depth going from the front of the cap all the way back to the end of those terminals . that's going to be about 2 and 3/4 of an inch. Of course, you want to give yourself a little bit of extra room so that you can get those connected up to your wires, both ports need to be connected to power and ground. The mounting hole diameter is going to be 3/16 of an inch. The distance between the mounting holes going to top to bottom is about an inch center on center, and then going across is going to be about 3 1/2 inches.The voltage rating for this is going to be 12 volts DC and the maximum amperage in the DV socket is going to be 15 amps.

For USB 1, it's going to be one amp at 5 volts and for USB 2, it's going to be 2.1 amps at 5 volts. Both sockets have an IP rating of six, five so it's pretty good as far as keeping out dust and fairly good for keeping out any water, so it's going to do a great job of keeping both of those sockets protected.That's going to do it for our look at the Furrion 12 Volt Combination Dual USB Charger and Receptacle With LED Indicator.
