Today we'll be reviewing the Camco insulator with Sunshield Reflective surface for RV roof vents inside a removable fleececover, part number CAM45192. The Camco insulator has this nice fleece lining with a sunshieldreflective surface. It also has this nice zipper that allows us to gain access to the 3 inch thickpiece of foam. It also allows us to remove the fleece liner so that we can vacuum it off.It's not machine washable because it hasthe reflective sunshield. The insulator fits snugly into a standard 14 x 14 vent. All you have to do is push it into place. It will help keep your RV cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter because the sewn-in sunshield blocks 100% of the sun's harsh damaging rays.
The insulator also comes with a one-year limited warranty. No we'll go ahead and show you how to install it. First we'll go ahead and locate our vent. When installing it, we want to make sure that the reflective surface goes in first. All we have to do is fit it inside the vent and push it into place. Just like that our insulator is installed and we're ready to go.
To remove the insulator, all we have to do is grab it and it slides right out. That completes today's review of the Camco insulator with Sunshield Reflective Surfacefor RV roof vents, part numberCAM45192. .

Love this in our travel trailer shower dome as a sun shade/sun deflector, just remember to take it out when you shower & then wipe out the Sundome and put it back in as it also helps with insulating cold from coming in.

Good fit and made an instant change in blocking summer heat( will also block fall and winter’s chill when it rolls around). Blocking the morning sun will also help to sleep in on Lazy vacation days.

Product was simple to install and can't help but keep more heat from going thru the plastic vent covers. I think they will also help reflect the heat away during the heat of the summer. The reflective surface should will stop the sun away from the interior of the camper. As usual, dealing with Etrailer was a very good experience.

Just bought two more of these (had two already, but the new MH has 4 fans!) Love 'em because they reflect the heat with the silver side and protect from cold as well. The product is great. You can definitely tell it reflects the heat back towards the sun when you remove it. The material is similar to the window covers I installed and they need to make a cover just for the top of the RV for mass reflection. Make special clams to grip the gutters and holes for the AC and vents..

I love the new Camco Insulator w/sunshield, to place in our roof vents. That area has always been a problem with sun coming in. My husband made some, covered the edges with back duck tape. Well they worked, but left back marks all around the vents and we were always finding them on the floor. These should work great, and the covers can be removed to wash them! The Maxxair roof vent is a great option, even if its raining that vent can be left open.

We used to shove a throw pillow into our roof vent above the bed in our RV. The sun would still creep through and wake us up at the crack of dawn. This pillow perfectly fits the vent and not a bit of sun comes through. Money well spent!!

After one year in place, these covers are still where we put them on the day they were delivered. I was just noticing this weekend, not one bit of heat is coming out of them from the 95 degree plus heat we have been experiencing this summer. Before these covers, we had a noticeable amount of heat coming inside all three of our dormer openings. These covers are a GAME CHANGER!

They are so simple to install. Just push them up into the opening. The fit is very snug so they will stay in place without any adhesive which also makes them simple to remove. They do a great job keeping heat from the sun out of the motorhome. I'm sure they will work equally as well keeping cold out in the winter. I highly recommend this product. I wish they made one for the large skylight in the shower.

A year later and I am very satisfied with the vent insulators. They definitely helped hold the heat in as opposed to just the plastic vent covers. They have to help keep the heat out in the summer the help the AC unit.
