Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the replacement safety chain U-Bolt Kit for Curt Quick Goose 2, Gooseneck Hitch. This replacement kit replaces the U-Bolts, the springs and the hardware for safety chain attachment to the Curt Quick Goose 2 Hitch.It has a safety rating of 30,000 pounds. It does come with the U-Bolts, it comes with brand new springs, it comes with washers and your locknuts. Now the U-Bolts, everything is steel construction with protective finishing on it to resist rust and corrosion.Overall measurement here on the U-Bolt from the bottom of the threaded portion to the very top, that measures about 3 3/4 inches. From the bottom to the bottom of the threads is about 3 1/4. The inside width, that's the opening that we have, that measures an inch and a half.
Outer edge to outer edge is about 2 11/16 of an inch. From the center of one post to the center of the other is 2 1/8. The threaded portion measures about 1 1/16 of an inch to 1 1/8 of an inch. And the diameter of each one is about 9/16 to 5/8 of an inch.That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement safety chain U-Bolt Kit for the Curt Quick Goose 2, Gooseneck Hitch.

U-Bolts mount to the built-in hookups of your Curt Quick Goose 2 Gooseneck Hitch for quick and easy safety-chain attachment.Used this in lieu of the B&W safety chain kit. It was I?3 the price but worked great. Just had to drill hitch plate holes out a little larger. The only problem was the package had one oddball nut in the lot of 4. I had a replacement in my box so no worries.
Bought to use for my goose neck hitch . Drilled holes on each side of the ball to install in the mount plate. Easy to install and provides safety in case of a hitch malfunction.

I had some problems getting the nuts to thread up and ended up striping one of them. So now I have to reorder new ones. Not sure if it was a defect or what but will see on the new ones.
E trailer is a great company to work with and I will be doing business with them again.

The U Bolt kit has been working great.
Fast and friendly service, parts was as described.
Stout, well machined components should do the job well. I considered trying to buy parts for this project at the local high-end fastener store, I'm glad I didn't. These parts seem fairly specific and if you truly ever need them you'll be glad you have the right stuff. These are priced well compared to others, maybe there's a quality difference but these are substantial. I don't actually have a "Curt" hitch but I knew the depth I needed and that the 1 1/2" gap (inside dimension) would work. It did.
Safety Chain hooks were arrived in no time at all, were well built, very Heavy Duty, and simple to install. I would do Business with etrailer again! Very satisfied with my purchase! Thanks Again
Product as advertised and shipped quickly. Would have rated excellent, but the wrong nuts were packaged with the u-bolts. The u-bolts are coarse thread but the nuts were fine thread. Didn't have time to wait on replacement nuts so I had to go to hardware store and buy the right ones.
The item exceeds expectations and was delivered super fast. Everything needed to fix hitch and get back on the road.
This product installed fairly easily. I was able to install it securely with a ratchet handle.
Heavy duty, just as described.
