Today we're going to take a look at the B&W custom mounting brackets for the Patriot fifth wheel, above bed, base rail. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2001-2010 Chevrolet, GMC 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty, long and short bed trucks. These custom brackets are designed to work with the B&W universal above bed base rails, to let you install your fifth wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your truck. The above bed base rails, if you don't have those already, we also sell those separately on our website. It's part number BWRVR3210 and we actually sell the rails with this part number in a whole kit and that's part number BWRVK2500. That is also sold separately on our website.
These installation brackets are designed to mount beneath your truck bed. They provide attachment points for your fifth wheel rails. The base rails is what will sit in your truck bed and allow installation of fifth wheel trailer hitch. These custom fit mounting brackets will mount to existing holes in your vehicles frame. Because of that, there's no drilling required, so it will drastically reduce the installation time as opposed to a universal bracket. They also have cut outs that will avoid any known obstacles along your trucks frame, which will help save time.
They are a sturdy, powder coated steel. Helps resist corrosion. All the hardware you can see is included. These parts are made in the USA. It even comes with a nice set of detailed instructions that will describe how to install this into your vehicle. Hi George, the installation went almost perfectly. The only problem my head with the kit you sent me was part number 16. The 1/2 x 8 1/4 x 4 1/2
U bolts could have been 1/2” longer on the 4 1/2” threaded ends. We were barely able to get nuts on those things. Once we got nuts on and tighten them down we put giant C clamps on there and I did one side at a time and put the washers on. Other than that the kit you sent me was great. Please refer to the pictures I sent you. The fifth wheel is not sitting exactly over the rear end. I don’t know if that is of concern or not. I was told it is supposed to sit exactly over the rear punkin. If you’ll notice the angle of the hardware on the patriot base, it looks to me like I could turn it around and get that fifth wheel a little further forward. Or maybe I just need to move the brackets forward. I have the base pointed now with the patriot logo pointing out the back and the information tag pointing towards the front. I’m assuming that’s the way it goes.Any information or guidance you could give me on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to you and everybody in your company again for the outstanding customer support I’ve gotten through this whole deal. You guys really are great.

- Custom Install Brackets For B&W Patriot In 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 I do have an option for you but the B&W Custom Mounting Brackets for Patriot 5th Wheel Above Bed Base Rails part # BWRVR2503 are for 2007 new newer Chevy Silverado 1500 trucks. The custom mounting brackets for the Patriot 5th wheel in a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500hd is part # BWRVR2500 and rails part # BWRVR3210.
