Where To Hook Safety Chains, # AM3109, On 2004 Ford F-250, F-350 Super Duty

Question:

You clamp the chains around the shank of the adapter but where do you hook the other end of chains? All thats in my truck bed is the gooseneck ball.

On the Safety Chains for Ranch Hitch 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, # AM3109, the one end will clamp around the shank of the adapter and the hooks on the other end of the chain should hook to the safety chain U-bolts in the bed of your truck. Sometimes the U-bolts lay flat on the truck bed on each side of the gooseneck ball and are spring loaded, so you might not see them. You have to pull the U-bolts up from the bed to attach the chain.

If you do not have the U-bolts on your truck I do have available a few choices depending which model hitch you have. I have the Curt Replacement Safety-Chain U-Bolt Kit for Curt Quick Goose 2 Gooseneck Hitch, # C113 and the Draw-Tite Replacement U-Bolt Safety Chain Kit for Remov-A-Ball Gooseneck Hitch, # 6308.

I am sending a video link which shows the safety chain hooks.
