Today we're going to be taking a look at the 7/16" by 20 Zinc Plated Steel Trailer Wheel Lug Nut. This lug nut is designed to fit 7/16" diameter wheel studs. The threads on this is a right hand normal thread, it's 20 threads per inch. If you notice on the very bottom of this lug nut, it has the 60 degree taper on it which is designed to fit the 60 degree taper on the lug hole of the wheel you installed it on. This is a heat treated steel, it's very sturdy and durable. Now the head size or outer diameter of this lug nut is going to be 3/4".
I happened to pull a 3/4" socket just to show you it fits perfectly right inside there. Now this part is for quantity of one lug nut, and the last measurement I want to give you is the length of the nut which is top to bottom. If we take a ruler, put it on it from the very bottom to the very top, it's right at 9/16". That should do it for the review of the 7/16" by 20 Zinc Plated Steel Trailer Wheel Lug Nut.

First of all, let me confess that I do NOT have a trailer.
I am a gunsmith and I reload.
I needed some "no-snag" nuts for my old Pacific reloading press.
Since the threads are UNF, I looked and looked and looked, till I found these nuts.
They are PERFECT!
Well dimensioned, they offer two wrench sizes, and the finish is good.
And the thread is . . . well . . . good enough for a gunsmith who deals in high precision endeavors.
So, yes, buy with confidence, just make sure that your lugs are truly this size and pitch.

Who knew I'd be famous someday for my lug nut review!... Seems like an ordinary nut. It is that and no much more. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat because etrailer is just so darned fine to deal with.

Nuts remain secure as ever,
These fit the spare carrier I bought here, but unfortunately they are smaller than the lug nuts on my 3.5K axles. They take a 19mm (3/4") wrench and trailer axle nuts use a 21mm. I might be able to get them off with my 21mm lug wrench (by wrapping them with a thin piece of cardboard/paper), but I plan to carry a 19mm just in case. The description did not state the wrench size, else I may have chosen a different option.

GREAT! These nuts stay put. I do not subject the nuts to the vibrations that are experienced in the trailers, but they stay put in a difficult situation: Stresses that are bidirectional. Very happy.
