Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the Replacement Roller Fairlead for your Bulldog Winch. This is going to be a direct replacement from the manufacturer, so if yours has gotten worn down or it's just not working properly or it got damaged somewhere along the way, this is going to be a great way to refresh that roller fairlead without having to get a whole new winch if everything else is working just fine.So we can take a little closer. Look at our fairlead here. We'll have our four stainless steel rollers to reduce the amount of friction that our rope experiences. It's going to just roll along with that rope and let it spool in and out and so there's also going to keep from wearing on the rope as well so it's not dragging across any sharp edges.
It's going to have a nice easy way to roll out and back in.Again, those are going to be a stainless steel with a zinc plating, so that's going to help keep those rolling nicely for many years. The bracket itself is also going to be a powder coated steel, so should resist any kind of rust or corrosion. It's kind of a texturized matte finish, a pretty dark, dark gray or a black color here.As far as the size for this particular fairlead, it's about six and a quarter inch across and front to back or the depth is about two and a quarter and the overall height for the bracket on its own is about two and seven eighths of an inch. If we go from the top and bottom of our posts here, it's closer to three and a quarter. The distance between the mounting holes which would go onto our winch bracket, center to center, is about four and three sixteenths of an inch or just shy of five inches there.Again, this fits onto the winch mounting plate, not the winch itself.
It does not come with the hardware to mount this in place, so you will have to either reuse the hardware that came off of your original or pick up some new hardware to go with this. It does have a one year warranty and that's about all there is to it for our look at the Replacement Roller Fairlead for your Bulldog winch. I hope this video has been helpful.
