Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the Brophy basic turnbuckle for camper tie-downs. This turnbuckle is used to secure your camper to the tie-downs mounted on your truck. It works with Brophy bed-mounted tie-downs, part numbers TDSF, HSSF, HSAB, HSBP, and HSCP. It's made from a sturdy steel construction. It's very strong and durable. It features a nice corrosion resistant zinc plated finish.
The adjustments are easy to make. It just has the threaded hook design, so you can twist that to extend or retract it. Now, when it's fully extended both sides, overall length from this inside edge of one hook to the inside edge of the other is 12 inches, and then retracted is 7 and 5/8 of an inch. The hook opening, which is this gap right here, has an opening of a half inch. The unit features a weight capacity of 3,000 pounds.That's going to do it for today's look at the Brophy basic turnbuckle for camper tie-downs..

a length of chain lengths would have been nice with this order - my RV tech had to make a special trip to a hardware store for the chain links

I bought just the turnbuckles to hold down a truck camper because I didn't need the chains and s hooks that are part ot the tie down package. The price is better than the local hardware store and the item is exactly as advertised. The company sent me emails and tracking information and the package was shipped quickly.
I seldom write reviews, but the service and product were great.

Turnbuckles were only 3/8 inch and I will be looking for something more robust. They do not inspire confidence that they will hold even a small camper to the bed. These were for replacement of an older set that were showing signs of age. I feel the older ones are still better than these.

The turn buckles are of good quality. Better quality and price than local hardware stores. Very slow shipping however.

Product looks good , was received within 4 days of ordering.

- Does Brophy Turnbuckle TB38 Have a Weight CapacityYes, the turnbuckle part # TB38 is one of the turnbuckles that comes with the kit part # TDHP which has a 3,000 lb capacity as a set. The 3,000 lbs would be a safe working load limit and not the break strength capacity which Brophy does not list.
view full answer... - Compatibility of the Brophy Basic Turnbuckle # TB38 and the TorkLift Derringer Handles # TLS9528The Brophy Basic Turnbuckle # TB38 has a 1/4" rod and the opening is 1/2". I went out to the warehouse and found that it is compatible with the eyelet that comes with the TorkLift Derringer Handles # TLS9528 that you referenced. We currently don't carry the 9525 system from TorkLift but I would imagine that it is compatible with that too.
