Video Transcript for TorkLift Wiring - Wiring Adapters - TLW6532 Review

Today we're going to review part number TLW6532. This is the Torklift 3-way no splice combination slide-in truck camper and trailer towing wiring harness. Now this 3-way no splice wiring harness makes it very easy to connect wiring on your truck bed camper and your trailer to your vehicle. Basically what you'll do is take this plug right here, plug this into the wiring harness into your existing 7-way trailer connector and then you'll have two 7-ways. Run one of them back to clear your bed mounted camper so that you can plug in your trailer's wiring. Route the other 7-way socket toward the cab of your truck to connect your camper wiring. This part is designed to work with a 32-inch or 36-inch long Torklift supertruss hitch extender which we do sell separately on our website or it will work with other extensions.

Now if you do use it with the supertruss hitch extension, it usually does come with a mounting bracket for one of these 7-way plugs. This does install quickly, easily. It's pretty much all plug and play. There's no splicing required. Total measurement when this is fully extended measures about 10 feet long and this part is made in the USA.

You can see there's your two 7-way connectors and then here's the one you'll plug into your 7-way already 00:01:18. That should do it for the review on part number TLW6532, the Torklift 3-way no splice combination slide-in truck camper and trailer towing wiring harness. .

It works as expected, but it's not made of very high-quality materials. The pins inside the receiver that get the most use are flimsy, and although I am cautious, I can't have anyone else hook it up, or the pins bend. They will be breaking one day; I will probably wire in a better receiver at that time.

I received the wiring extension earlier than I expected and the tracking looked as if they were packing the order before I hit hit my paid button! Very happy with the product on the initial hook up and will give it a long haul test run tomorrow.

by:

Works just great, the reason I got this was so I can use my Truck,Truck Camper and trailer simultaneously.

  • Shorter Length 7-Way Connector to 7-Way Plug Recommendation
We have the part # TLW6021 instead which has the same 7-way socket on one end and plug on the other. The total length is 21 inches. I attached a review video for this for you to check out as well.

  • Can TorkLift Wiring Extensions for SuperTruss Hitch Extenders Be Shortened
You could cut and resplice the # TLW6532 7-way wiring harness extension to shorten it, but I'd personally be leery about that as the splices could possibly be vulnerable to the elements and corrosion. The best practice would be to get a harness in the correct length so you don't need to cut it up. TorkLift offers the extensions in the following lengths: • 24 inch, part # TLW6024 • 28 inch, part # TLW6028 • 32 inch, part # TLW6032 • 36 inch, part # TLW6036 • 42 inch, part # TLW6042 • 48...

  • Solution for 36 Inch Hitch Extension on 2020 Ram 3500 With Arctic Fox 992 Camper
The only other extension that will meet your 36" requirement is the Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches, 41" - 48" Long # RP45018. This extension would have a maximum gross trailer weight of 7,500 lbs/750 lbs of tongue weight at 41" with weight distribution. Also, this does not have lateral-support safety chains like the TorkLift does. When you use a really long extension like the # TLE1536 there is a lot of additional force. This is why it seems like overkill to use this...

  • How To Connect Two Separate Trailer 7-Way Cables To One Tow Vehicle 7-Way Socket
Hey Tim, To connect two separate trailer 7-way cables to one tow vehicle 7-way socket you'll need a 7-way Y-splitter. The only one we currently offer is from TorkLift # TLW6532 and was designed with really long cables to accommodate their SuperTruss hitch extenders. You could also get another 7-way socket # PK11898 and splice it into your current 7-way so that both receive the signals.

  • Which 7-Pin Wiring Extension Works with this Reese Hitch Box Extension # RP45292?
Yes, you can use either the 28" TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension # TLW6028 or 36" TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension # TLW6036 with the Reese Hitch Box Extension and Reducer # RP45292. These will allow you to plug into the 7-way on your truck and go back to the mount on the Extension. If you have a Slide In Camper that needs to connect to the 7-Way as well the 21"-28" TorkLift Wiring Extension # TLW6524 or 32"-36" TorkLift Wiring Extension # TLW6532 can be used as it has a 2nd port for...
