Torklift Springload Turnbuckles. Turnbuckles with a spring is a must have.

After a year the Torklift system still works great for me. Glad I purchased it.

by:

Package appeared to have been opened previously, and there was minor damage to the threads on one of the long bolts. Repaired thread damage with a needle file. Cut off 5" of bolt so would fit my rig (35" between camper and truck tie down points). Installed Torklift TLR 3500 brackets on a the Curt 2 1/2 inch receiver just installed. Had to mount the bracket on the hitch a little forward of what the installation video seemed to suggest, in order to clear the double exhaust on my 2008 F350 SD SRW Diesel 4x4. All fits well and seems very solid.

by:

They work great. They're installed on my truck and camper full-time and no issues after a year.

by:

Most of the camping I have done has been on ocean beach , so it has definitely been in the elms ya of lots of dance and lots of salty wind . There is zero rust or corrosion on the tied downs , everything works like the first day I got it . Such a great product . Thanks

by:

there was weld splatter in the threads at the begining thread, cant get it out of the grove yet,on one, the other package has no Hardware

by:

Great product, no more ugly chains. A cleaner sleek look. Made in USA and life time warranty a definite plus. Easy adjustment for a secure safe tiedown. Very happy with product.

Product makes loading camper a breeze. Looks great and is very secure. So glad I purchased, a great investment.

by:

Looks very good, easy to install. I will need to see how things are holding up after 10 years to rate them again.

by:

These work fine but next time I would spend the additional money and buy the quick release kind with the handle just for ease of installation. They need to be fairly tight on extremely bumpy roads (I lost one on a very bumpy mountain road and had to walk back to find it) but on the highway they are great

by:

Great product excellent service purchased torklift tie downs and turnbuckles.

by:

Great product, shipping and service.

by:

These seem well made and they are easy to use. The rears fit nicely but the fronts were very close to being short, at least they were with my camper (Lance) and Torklift D2127 tie downs on the truck (RAM 3500).

Personally if found the TorkLift SpringLoad XL Turnbuckles to be more of a pain than anything else. With new camper loaded and 200 miles from home the XL bottomed out and were to long to hold down the camper to the truck. Not a major problem if your home with tools to modify them but on the road its a hole new level of anger.... We took every precaution to ensure this would be a trouble free loading except if they were to long.... If i were to buy again I would not choose these, I would go with the Fast Guns.. In fact I'm replacing these with the Fast Guns and using XL's as a back up..

by:

The first day we received them from etrailers I put them together and had problems with the nut binding on the threaded end i called torklift directly and they sent me out a new threaded end. After that we had know issue for awhile, but after three trips out it did it again. The nut is binding up on the threads and get cross threaded it makes it impossible to disconnect when the threads get cross. It's a real safety hazard when that happens it could even leave you stranded. there's something that needs to be done to fix this problem the last trip I was out on it did it again, I could drive it like that so I had to take a taxi to the hardware store and rig something up. I figured out a solution. But to be honest I wouldn't waste my money on these again.

by:

Torklift mounts are easy to install and are the only mount that will fit on my 2019 Ram 3500 contrary to what Happijac might tell you. They install to the frame and are out of the way until I put the camper on. The frame extensions are easy to put on and secure the camper without the need to do additional drilling. I"m sold on this system

by:

We can't believe they are still going strong after over a year of use. We bought a truck camper so we can access places off the beaten path, which means bumpy roads. We bought an extra set just in case one broke. Happy to report the original ones are going strong and the extra set just rides along in the box. Totally worth the price.

by:

Well built. Installation took about three hours for front TLC2223 and rear brackets TLC3215 on 2017 GMC2500, instructions were not as clear as they might have been. I am pleased with these brackets, and with TorqLift tie spring loaded tie downs camper was rock solid.

by:

Been great! Skamper 086s on a 2011 ram 2500 QC SB. Do a lot of off reading to the back country of CO, and tough snowy rides in the winter to ice fish. Spring is great, no corrosion after a year, way easier than chains. Keeps my camper perfectly stable off road. I cringed at the cost, but no regrets so far!

by:

They WILL make sure you get the right p art!!

by:

Great customer service!

by:

Great as always

by:

Exactly what I needed for truck camper. Super easy to put together and use

by:

I could not be happier with etrailer.com service. Both orders were filled promptly. Before I had time for a good nap, they had arrived, from Missouri to Colorado.Amazing! Thank you for your professionalism and phenomenal delivery. Jerry

Thanks for the photo, and since your Ford has TorkLift frame-mounted tie-downs that measure 41 inches to the bed, the turnbuckles you will need are going to be from TorkLift. The reason for that is there are no HappiJac turnbuckles that that amount of reach as they are for bumper-mounted turnbuckles that are higher up. According to Torklift they recommend that the tension on a turnbuckle, like their TorkLift SpringLoad XL Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLS9050A should be at 300-ft/lbs to properly secure the camper. This is going to be standard across different camper manufacturers as this is what they recommend as well. Attached is a review video for you to check out as well.

  • Options for Turnbuckles For Torklift Tie-Downs on 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed
We do have other turnbuckles available besides the FastGun like the # TLS9529-2-LK. These are a more premium option, and popular because they are so easy to use. They also lock to help protect from theft. For more economical turnbuckles I recommend the # TLS9000 or the # TLS9050A. The # TLS9020 you looked at are not for use with TorkLift frame-mounted tie-downs, so they won't work with your setup.

  • Turnbuckles for Torklift Camper Tie Downs for 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500
Sounds like you need the longer Torklift Camper Turnbuckles part # TLS9050A that you referenced for the tie downs part # TL44FR and # TLC3221 for your 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500. You can verify this by measuring from your tie downs to your camper where the turnbuckles attach. If that distance is between 35 and 45 this is the correct size. Or for a set that has a wider range and is only a little smaller in overall length we have the part # TLS9522-2-LK which has a range of 25-43 inches.
