Today we will be reviewing part number BX8875. This is a Blue Ox tow bar cover. This is going to protect the tow bar from the elements, provides a custom fit for the Blue Ox motorhome mounted tow bars, including the Aladdin, Aventa LX, Aventa II and the Alpha models. Its constructed of heavy duty vinyl coated fabric. It also displays the Blue Ox name on both sides. This bag is going to be approximately 27 inches long and when fully filled or when fully extended, its going to measure 8 inches tall. You can see here that we have the eyelets here on the bottom.
We also have the opening for the tow bars, so this just works as a sleeve. Then you have the security strap which is just a hook and loop strap that you can fasten right there to secure the end of the bag shut over the tow bar. eTrailer was very helpful in choosing the correct hitch for our rv and car. They also provided a special brake application in the car that makes it super easy for toad braking.
I am 72, and I hook up this toad and pull it with confidence. The instructions to hook up the toad was presented with ease. They knew exactly what they were doing, and we didn't rush through the demonstration. I would recommend eTrailer to anyone.

Very Good, still looks good
I ordered all the parts required to safely flat tow out 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk from etrailer.com. The only part they didn't have was the Mopar Flat Tow Enhancement kit Jeep requires to flat tow this model.
Ordering from them was great, the website is easy to use and I was able to locate all the pieces compatible with my specific vehicle. The expert recommendations help my decision choosing the right parts. I ordered from etrailer even though I found some of the parts on other websites a little cheaper. I chose to pay a little more because of all the effort etrailer has put into installation videos and guides. I was very pleasantly surprised to learn from etrailer that they have a price match guarantee!

The installation videos are great but not all inclusive. Take the time to read the instructions that come with the parts. This is a major project, I took about 30 hrs over a full week but as you'll see in the pictures I took s few extra steps to make a cleaner look.
Some of those extra steps:
The base plate install requires the bumper be modified cutting off a flange on each side, I spray painted this to prevent corrosion.
In the install video of the baseplate on the drivers side they use an extra quick link (not included) to run the safety cable around the wiper fluid reservoir. I took the time to remove it and run the safety cable behind it.
I didn't want our nice new vehicle to look like it can be towed so I played the brake away switch and 7 way trailer plug behind the license plate, so when not being towed our vehicle looks great!
Some things to be aware of. The Brake air cylinder that mounts to the brake pedal with four bolts may need longer bolts, it did on our Jeep. Spend the money for weather tight heat shrink crimp fittings. The Hopkins wire harness was about 1.5 feet short to get to my plug location. Buy extra zip ties, electrical tape and split loom.
I recommend reading all the various installation manuals and watching all the videos because the various components integrate together and if you install one at a time you'll be doing a bunch of extra work.
The brake light relay is a real pain in the butt, not because of the hardware but because of the location of the brake light switch which is very hard to get to.
Overall I am very happy with the products and how the installation looks. We haven't towed it yet but do not expect any problems.

Cover works fine , but the blue ox 7 to 6 way cord casing has cracked and is coming apart. It has always been stored in the storage compartment. I have read there has been others with the same problem. All other items purchased are doing fine. Thanks.
The Blue Ox cover is a quality product. It slips over the folded tow bar easy and has a handy velcro strap to secure it in place. The downside is cover can be stolen if someone needed one, as there is no way to lock it on, no way to deter theft. Also, I wish Blue Ox DIDN'T put their name on the cover. It tells the world what's underneath. That's a logical purpose for a cover, to hide what's underneath. The less information the better. I have no need to have their name plastered on the back of my RV. Instead Blue Ox not only wants my money, they want to advertise on my RV. I hate that. That's just me.

Great value. My tow setup has over 10,000 miles on it now.

Thanks for the very professional follow-up on the Blue Ox products I bought. In the end, I only used the set-up for about 3,000 miles before I changed my rig from a Class C towing a Jeep Wrangler using the Blue Ox parts to a Jeep Grand Cherokee towing an Airstream. Everything worked just fine for those 3,000 miles and all the parts have been sold on, practically as new, [on-line].
Ordering was easy and shipping quick. Item looks just like original which lasted 7 years. Hopefully this replacement will last as long.

Unfortunately the product was defective. I contacted etrailer because it was under a 1 year warranty and I returned it for a replacement. The replacement works perfect. Thanks etrailer for replacing the item under warranty.

This item is available on many websites, but the price was better on etrailer. Perfect transaction, from the time I placed the order to the reasonable shipping cost, and all the way to the follow up after it was delivered. I will definitely order again from etrailer.com

Hi and thanks for checking. Since you asked, the Blue Ox tow bar cover I bought is not holding up very well. Through normal use it seems to be coming apart at the seams. Might have been defective from the start. Not sure how much longer it will last.

This tow bar cover fits my tow bar perfectly and protects the tow bar so that I can leave the tow bar attached to my pickup truck and camper.

Best tow hitch ever, the hitch was concealed behind the front fender clip and when removed was almost invisible. The hitch was easy to put on for a do it yourself with professional results. I heartily recommend this hitch to any one and don't forget to purchase the cover.

It's just as it is pictured and described. Not particularly thick material, and the chemical smell was..ahem..strong>...But it fits, it covers my tow bar, and all the attached cables, wires etc. and it'll do the job!
ETrailer is a great place to shop for all things RV hitch, etc., related...great competitive pricing as well.
I thought it would fit better, but at least it covers the Alpha 2 tow bar, and it stays in place even if you leave it on while driving down the road.
Snug fit! If you order the KarGard II Towed Vehicle Protector for Blue Ox Motor-Home-Mounted Tow Bars (BX88255) the extended nuts make it very difficult to get the cover in place.
No problems whatsoever. No leaks from rain or car wash. Folds back easily.
On installation just be very careful to get full even square coverage before tightening.
Blue Ox is thee best towing products you can purchase for your needs. eTrailer customer service, products, and shipping is top of the line. Perfect fit for our Blue Ox Alpha tow bar (BX7365). Keeps dirt and dust off the tow bar when it is not being used to pull our 2015 Chevy Sonic toad.
It was time to replace the cover I have used on my Blue Ox tow system as it was showing its age after years of service. It just makes sense to protect your products to insure they continue to perform properly. This cover is very well made and I know it will last many years.
