Hey, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the double jerry can or double fuel can carriers designed for your ARB racks. Whenever you're carrying around your jerry cans, especially if they have fuel in them, you wanna make sure that you are carrying them properly with something that is strong and secure and sturdy. So, these are gonna be the carriers designed specifically for your ARB racks. They work with the dovetail clamp system, creating a very easy to set up, but also very practical carrier. Today, we're talking about both double jerry can carriers.

There's the vertical carrier and there's the horizontal carrier. So, both of them are gonna be strong, sturdy, easy to install. The main difference is gonna be that the horizontal carrier will sit closer to your roof, not as high up, but it will take up more space on your rack, versus the vertical carrier, where the cans do take up more height, but the tray itself takes up less space. So, if you wanna carry more accessories, this is the way to go. Also, if you have a can that has a water spout at the bottom, so, usually, your fresh water containers, the vertical carrier does have cutouts.

That way you can still access the spout while it is loaded on your roof. On our website, we have measurements for the space this will take up on your tray, but for the space you have for the jerry cans, let's give some measurements for interior. So, on the side of the eye bolts, that will be our length. We have 14 inches and 1/2 inch of space. And then for our width, that's gonna be 13 7/8 of an inch.

On the horizontal carrier, you're also gonna have 14 inches 1/2 on the side of the bolts. And then for the width, that's going to be 19 inches 3/4. Just like most of your other ARB accessories, you're gonna have your durable steel construction. You also have that black powder coat finish. That way it looks good, but also stays rust resistant.

You do have your aluminum clamps and while if you want to leave this on your rack for an extended period of time, that is okay. It is also easy to take this off or move this around your rack depending on your other accessories. So if you want a quick look at that process, let's take a look at that install. The cool thing about ARB accessories is that when you need to assemble things, the process is barely anything at all. So we're just gonna get our eye bolt clamps up there. Notice how I have the clamps underneath. Put the bolt up through, put the flat washer, and then we have our eye bolt. Now we're just gonna have it very loosely threaded on both sides, and then we're gonna get this onto our tray. These double holders are designed to go between two slats, so make sure that you're not putting in both over a single slot 'cause then you'll have wobble, in between the spaces of your slat is perfect. So we're just going to pivot these dovetail clamps up and over and onto our slats. To really get this secured, you're gonna want to use a larger object like a screwdriver just to get all that torqued. So ideally you'll want this down to 22 Newton meters of torque or as tight as you can get it. Now you can put your jerry cans onto your holder. So notice that just with the cans, they're still gonna move around. So use the included strap to secure them. For the vertical holder, we're going to secure the strap first through the handles of your jerry cans, and then the hook is gonna go through the tighten down eye bolt as you pull on that strap. Maintaining that tension on the strap, we're also going to thread our ratchet on the other side. So bring that strap through and then over and then pull tight. We're gonna get this hooked in, just like that. And then finally get all that extra tension. That's secure. If you have excess strap, I like to just tie it off so it's not flopping around as we drive around. Double check that everything is secure, but that's it for your setup. The horizontal version is gonna be exact same way except the strap goes over the cans instead of through the handles. So each of these are going to be complete kits. You're gonna have your brackets, you're gonna have your straps all included right here at etrailer. The main thing is just making sure that you get the right fit for you, whether you want the double vertical or the double horizontal jerry can holder.
