Hitch Pin Hole Depth

Note: For proper installation, this rack requires your hitch receiver to have a minimum distance of 1-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the face of the receiver.

Adjustable, Padded Clamps

Thule T2 Pro XTR folding and tiliting design

The DoubleTrack Pro XT's adjustable frame clamps move up and down the central mast independently to grab your bikes by the top tube, the downtube, or even the seat post. The inner jaws of the clamps are padded to help absorb road shock and vibration and prevent scratches and scuffs.

Sliding Wheel Cradles

Thule T2 Pro XTR folding and tiliting design

The wheel trays have cradles with ratcheting straps to secure your rear wheel to the rack. The cradles slide along the tray to accommodate bikes with a variety of wheelbases. To secure your wheel, run the strap over the rim and back down through the strap buckle and pull tight. To remove your bike, press the quick-release button on the buckle and undo the strap.

HitchSwitch Lever for Easy Tilting and Folding

Thule Helium front-mounted hand leverThule T2 Pro XTR cable locks

The rack tilts down with your bikes loaded. So, whether you're at the trail or the grocery store, you don't have to remove your bikes to access your cargo area. It also folds up when not in use. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And if you want to remove it, it doesn't take up as much space to store it.

Thule Helium front-mounted hand lever

To tilt the rack down, reach through or around your bikes with one hand, pull up on the HitchSwitch lever at the base, and lower the rack with your free hand.

Complete Security

Thule T2 Pro XTR folding and tiliting designThule T2 Pro XTR cable locks

The ratcheting hooks have lock cores in the release buttons so you can secure your bikes to the rack. Once you've positioned the hooks to secure your bikes to the rack, use the key to lock the hooks in place. It also includes a threaded hitch pin that helps eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport. A lock on the hitch pin secures the rack to your vehicle. It's keyed alike with the lock cores on the hooks, so you only need to use 1 key. Additional One-Key System locks (sold separately) let you make all your Thule products keyed alike.

Threaded Hitch Pin and Hitch Adapter

Adapter Sleeve

The rack includes a threaded hitch pin that helps eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport.

Thule DoubleTrack Pro Removable Adapter

The rack also works with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. To use it in a 1-1/4" hitch, simply remove the adapter with the included Allen key.

This is so easy to put our bicycles on and it folds out of the way when not in use. Love Thule items

by:

I purchased the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Rack from etrailer because of their customer service and fast shipping. The Rack was actually on sale on etrailer, Thule, REI and other retailers, but my choice was etrailer and like always etrailer does it correctly. Rack was on time and no parts were damaged. Only thing missing was the plastic straps, as soon as I realized they were missing I called etrailer and spoke with Roger ( great customer service based on the USA, no calls to foreign call centers) on a Sunday, 3 days later I got my straps and my whole bike rack was completed. I have been using it for the past 2 weeks and everything seems right and fully functional. Thanks etrailer !

by:

Disappointed in the quality control from Thule. One of the nuts provided had no threads so had to hunt down a replacement at the hardware store. Also one of the wheel tray ratchet mechanisms doesn't spring back like it's supposed to. For the money Thule wants for its products you'd think the quality would be better.

I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. The bike rack does come with a two year warranty.

by:

We have had this rack for one year and have used it dozens of times. Still going very strong. We love it. Intially the instructions for assembly were a little bit confusing. But a couple of {online} videos helped us out. This rack is a pleasure to use. Easy on/off the vehicle. And very easy on/off for the bikes. Lock for the rack itself and locks for the bikes for added security. I would HIGHLY recommend this rack. Sturdy while driving and relatively lightweight and compact to store when not in use. A-Plus!!!

by: 06/03/2023

DO NOT SPEND $[XX] on this rack.
I got
it thinking the locking features would be great.
After assembly I got things going but found that this is a very fickle rack.
I have had issues releasing the bikes from the vertical arm. I had some bike trouble and my biking companion was going to load up and come get me.
NOT ONE PERSON out of the dozen or so who tried to help her load could figure out how to get the rocker with the lock to release (IT WAS NOT LOCKED). You need to know how to wiggle/jiggle the arm and rocker together to get it to release.
I wish I had not been attracted by the locking features. THIS RACK IS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE.

by:

Great all-in-one rack. It comes with the anti sway nut, it locks to the car and bikes lock to the rack using the same key. Solid construction. It’s not too heavy, which makes it easy to put on and take off.

by:

The quality and ease of use is excellent with this hitch. I highly recommend!

by:

I love the sturdiness of this rack. It's easy to tilt away from the car with my bike on it so I can get into my hatchback. I also love the ease of putting my bike on and taking it off. Takes maybe 2 mintues to secure. Love it!

Loving it very much. This bike rack is durable and holding up well. Much of the summer I leave my bike on the rack so I put it up and down to get into my SUV back end with groceries and stuff. Love it. Great purchase. I carry 2 bikes sometimes and it is very comfortable and easy to use.

by:

I think the design is great. Holds our 2 bikes well. Love the locking feature.

Rack still works great, as designed. Its a little cumbersome to take on and off the car hitch heavy, done down on the ground so my wife cannot do that part herself, but once on, the bikes are held securely and are easily taken on and off.

by:

Works good. It is what we wanted. It took a little effort to assemble in the heat and humidity. I got ‘er done though and I am pleased with it. Plus, even though Thule is a Swedish company the rack is made in the USA.

by:

Great dual bike rack. Was able to buy a gently used unit from etrailer and it came looking like a brand new one. This replaced an older Thule unit that was bent while on vacation in FL. I love that it tilts back to give access to hatch of my Subaru Outback.

by:

This product is definitely awesome. Very easy to assemble. It keeps my bicycle secure without compromising access to the trunk’s car.

by:

I think it’s everything I asked for! The only complaint if any would be the 1.25” receiver post I think it could be 2” all the way just for strength! I’ll know more when we take our first trip.

by:

Sturdy, easy to use, and folds up small. Well thought out design!

by:

The bike rack itself seems to be well designed and built. The only flaw I see is the instructions are not very helpful. I would suggest a rewrite. Good thing for YouTube. Am looking forward to many years of use.

by:

Fast shipping had it in 3 days. Had it assembled and ready to go the next day, got the unit hitched and the bikes loaded, and then came the thunderstorm.

by:

Kind of difficult mounting without a lift, but the kit fit perfectly.

Great price
Fast delivery

too much plastic

  • Where to Find Rating of a Trailer Hitch Receiver
A hitch will always have an ID sticker on it listing its capacities for standard towing and towing when used with weight distribution, even an OEM hitch should have this information on it somewhere, perhaps on the back of the hitch crossbar. The aftermarket hitches we offer for the 2020 Silverado 1500 are Class III and IV. The class III hitches like # DT42RR have a towing capacity of around 6000 lbs or 10000 lbs if used with weight distribution. The class IV hitches such as # C13393 have...

  • Hitch Bike Rack Fits for 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon with OEM Hitch
It is quite common for auto makers to tell you that only their parts should be used, and often this is accompanied by a bit of "warranty sabre rattling". In other words, if an auto maker can scare you into buying their (usually more costly) products, they win. But in the case of installing an aftermarket hitch for using a bike rack, there is no real concern over the Subaru's warranty since you have the protection of the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something...

The Saris Bones bike racks, like part # SA805BL, are confirmed to fit your 2015 Audi A3 and are decent bike racks if you are looking for something affordable. If you are wanting a really good bike rack for expensive bikes then I recommend installing a trailer hitch on your newer 2015 Audi A3 and using a hitch mount bike rack to avoid bike rack to vehicle contact, plus most of the hitch mount bike racks have more to offer. • Thule Doubletrack # TH92BJ vs. Swagman Chinook # S64683
The real benefits that you get from the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT # TH92BJ is that it weighs 32 lbs, it is made right here in the USA, and the trays are a little more customizable since they are on their own "tracks". If you don't mind the extra 15 lbs of the Swagman Chinook # S64683 and you are able to utilize the wheel trays just fine (which typically isn't a problem) then I recommend the Chinook. It is at a lower price point, comes with everything that the Doubletrack does, has the higher...

One of the easiest ways to fix this is to use an adapter bar like the Swagman Frame Bar, part #64005. • Is Thule DoubleTrack Pro Compatible with Townie Womens Bike on a 2014 Toyota Highlander
The Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT # TH92BJ is an excellent choice for a Townie women's bike. Just make sure that your bike isn't over the max rating of 35 lbs for the rack and you're good to go!
