Trailer Receiver Bike Carrier to Use in Place of Discontinued Yakima StickUp
Question:
Your details do not show enough detail on how to fasten the bike to the carrier. Also, I have one bike. Can the extra carrier loops and arm be cut back or removed removed for just one bike, either temporary or permanent? How can I find the specs on this unit, weight, material, etc

Expert Reply:
The Yakima StickUp bike rack has actually been discontinued. For a similar rack take a look at the Thule Doubletrack, # TH92BJ.
You could remove the second set of cradles from the rack if you wanted to. But removing them is not necessary.
The rack is made of steel an automotive grade plastics. It weighs about 32 pounds. It can be used in Class I, II, and III hitches with 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch receivers. It has a capacity of 35 pounds per bike.
