Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2018 Ford F-150

Speaker 1: We're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 proportional trailer brake controller. This works for one up to four axles. Its part number is 90195. We're also going to be using the Tekonsha brake controller adapter pigtail, part number 22292.Now the big advantage we get with the P3 over other brake controllers especially the time delayed brake controllers. With it being proportional, it senses the negative acceleration of our truck or the deceleration and it brakes accordingly. So if we really jam on the brakes hard, it's going to give us braking power back to our trailer brakes very quickly. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2016 Ford Transit T350

Speaker 1: Today, in our 2016 Ford Transit 350, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Triflex trailer brake controller, part number C51140. To ease our installation, we'll also be using the Curt Trailer Brake Controller Wiring Adapter, part number C51515 with the E-trailer ETBC7 kit. Now, this is a proportional brake controller, and what that means is that as we're slowing down gradually in our vehicle, the brakes on our trailer will be applied in an equaled manner. As opposed to a time delayed brake controller, where there is a time delay of the brakes being applied, and you can't have a little bit of power being applied. It's either all or nothing, depending on how you have it set. These will gradually start to apply the brakes, so you have a smooth and safe stop. One thing that sets this brake controller apart from others on the market is how easy it is to operate. It does everything that you need it to do, but yet, it has very simple and easy to use controls, so it doesn't confuse you. more

TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack Base Rails Installation - 2017 Ford F-150

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Ford F150, we're going to be installing the base rails for the Tracrac SR sliding truck bed ladder racks, part number TA21000. These rails are going to be great for people who want to get the most out of their truck, so that way, you can have the ultimate adjustability up top as well as below in your bed. These rails are going to run the full length of your bed and have two separate sliding rails for maximum adjustability. Now, if you jump inside the bed, you can loosen up your rails, and they slide easily back and forth with just one person. As you can see here, you can adjust it for shorter size loads up on top. With these sliding rails, we we're able to push our ladder rack all the way back easily, put on our 12 foot ladder, and now, we're ready to go.This kit's going to have everything you need to install it, and it's going to be a no-drill solution that'll go right down into your stake holes and hold it in place. Now, we've got all our components here laid out that we'll need to assemble and install one rail onto the vehicle. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Ford Edge we will be having a look at, and showing you how to install the Road Master Battery Charge Line Kit for towed vehicles, Part Number RM-156-25.Here's what our charge line kit looks like installed. This charge line kit is going to be a great solution for those of you who flat tow your Edge behind a motor home. This will allow your vehicles battery to maintain a charge. This is especially great for those of you that have a supplemental breaking system in your vehicle. The supplemental breaking systems do require power source and typically they're hooked up to your vehicles battery. But since your engine's not running while your vehicles being towed, your alternator's not providing a charge to your battery so your battery can be run down and you will be greeted with a dead batter. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Edge

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Ford Edge, we'll be having a look at and installing the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles, part number RM-156-25. This is what a charge line kit looks like installed. Now the reason you may want one of these on your vehicle is, if you're using a portable braking system when you're flat towing your vehicle behind your motorhome, your portable braking system requires a source of power. Sometimes you can just plug into your cigarette lighter or your power outlet on your dash, but every time the pedal is depressed in the vehicle your battery is getting lower and lower and lower on charge.Without this in place, you won't have a way of your battery being recharged with your engine off in the vehicle when it's towed behind the motorhome. With this in place, this uses the constant 12-volt charge line off the seven way 00:00:58 on the back of the motorhome to run power into the circuit breaker here, through this line here, and then out this line back to your battery post on the positive side. Now, the connection is made on the front of our vehicle through our six pole round connector. Now that we've gone over some features of our Roadmaster charge line kit, we'll show you how to get it installed. more

Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Review - 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Today on our 2016 Ford F350 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number RP30126. Here's what our base rails look like fully installed. They're going to allow us to tow with a fifth wheel trailer hitch and if we want, when we're not towing we're going to be able to remove this and still have full access to our bed. Once we have our fifth wheel removed, they even provide us with little caps to put into our puck system. That way we don't have to worry about any dirt and debris or even water getting down in there and making any rust and any problems with our fifth wheel getting in. As you can see, with the caps on and our fifth wheel out of the way, we still have full bed access and we can inaudible 00:47 put anything in or get anything out of our bed that we may need. Now, the way we're going to have full bed access and not have any rails inside our bed is because they're going to mount under the bed and since it's vehicle specific, it is going to take a little bit less time to install and require a little bit less drilling that universal kits. This is a great alternative if your truck doesn't already come equipped with the factory prep package because not only is it going to allow you to tow with a fifth wheel hitch, but it's also going to keep your bed nice and clean and give it that factory look. more
