What Hitch and Wiring is Need for a 2007 Toyota Prius and How do I Install
Question:
I would like to buy a hitch for my Prius. But on your web page you dont offer wiring instructions. Can my 2007 be wired for a hitch? Or can I find a shop that will wire it?

We carry 2 hitches for your 2007 Toyota Prius, part # 24808 and # 11468. I have included links to these hitches and their instructions below. We also have a video of one of these hitches being installed on a 2006 Toyota Prius.
Your 2007 Prius can be wired for towing a trailer, but there is not a plug and play type harness available for it. You will need to locate the tail light wires in the trunk, identifying them with a circuit tester, and then splice the harness into them.
There is a wiring kit that is compatible with your LED tail lights, part # C59496. This kit also includes a basic circuit tester. If you decide this wiring is not something that you want to do, you can take it to any basic auto mechanic or a Toyota dealership and they will be able to do the wiring for you. This kit has everything needed to install this wiring harness. I have included a video of a similar product on a 2008 VW Jetta that will give you an idea of the wiring process that you would follow.
