Best Hitch and Folding Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2014 Mazda CX-9
Question:
Vehicle: 2014 Mazda CX-9 I am interested in installing the Curt hitch 13575 and pairing it with Curt cargo carrier C18153. 1. Is this a good pairing and will the cargo carrier fold-up well with my particular vehicle? 2. Will the trailer hitch interfere with the lowering of the spare tire if it is needed? Thanks!

Yes to all of your questions!
The Curt Hitch part # 13575 that you referenced would be an excellent choice for a hitch for your 2014 Mazda CX-9 and would allow you to retain your factory spare tire. The spare will need to be angled a bit as it get raised and lowered but that shouldn't be too much of a hassle. With this hitch you will be required to use a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 to support the carrier and not void the hitch warranty. For a similar hitch that wouldn't require a stabilizer strap you would want the # 75531.
Also, the 20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18151 would be an excellent choice for a cargo carrier and would have enough clearance to fold up when used on your vehicle.
