Availability of Bevel Gear Repair Kit for Fulton EJ-1000 800-lb Trailer Jack
Question:
I have a 2005 Vintage Four Winns trailer with a Fulton 800 lb jack. I couldnt find any model numbers other than 800 lb stamped near the base. I ordered kit F0933302S00. Both gears appear to be the correct size but the vertical bevel gear that attaches to the crank shaft is different than the one provided in the kit. On my existing handle, the handle is flattened on two sides. The opening in the gear is also flattened. This is what keeps it from spinning on the shaft. The new gear has a round hole and uses a groove pin to keep in from spinning. The problem is that my existing handle does not have a hole for the groove pin. So did I order the wrong kit? Is there a vertical bevel gear that has a slotted rather than round hole? If not, then do I need to order a new handle? F0933301S00 would appear to be the correct one. It is for an 800 pound Fulton and has a hole in the shaft to receive the groove pin. The old handle had a snap ring on the opposite end to keep in from pulling out of the jack. Is that no longer needed because the groove pin will keep the handle from sliding out? In the picture you will also see that the roller on the handle is different than the one shown on your website. Please let me know. Thanks.

Thank you for providing the photo of your Fulton jack handle as well as the clear description of the compatibility issue you've encountered with the jack repair kit you purchased, part # F0933302S00.
My contact at Fulton was able to confirm that your particular jack is one of their earlier EJ Series jacks. Based on the photo and description it appears to be an EJ-1000. My contact advised that this was one of their earliest non-repairable jacks and so the kit you ordered will not work and there is no repair kit offered.
