Troubleshooting Non-Functioning For Tow Lights on a 2007 Honda CR-V Behind a Motor Home
Question:
I have a 2007 Honda CRV I had a tow bar installed and the wire harness wont work. My motor home has these trailer wires RT, LT, TL,GND,& brake wires. When I got the Honda home I installed a 732 Roadmaster 2 wire converter. From the motor home I now have coming out LT+stop RT+stop then the tail light and ground. The ground is supplied from the 2 wire adaptor. It does not work.Im not sure what they installed, vut they said it would work. Can you help me?

Without seeing how everything is wired, it is a bit hard to diagnose, but I am guessing you have 1 too many wires run to the Brite-Lite Converter.
The ground that is on part # RM-732 should be grounded to the motor home frame or structure. The GND wire that was on the motor home needs to be connected to the ground wire on the CR-V tow light wiring. The CR-V needs an electrical ground, since it is not running and creating a ground it needs to have a ground wire run to the motorhome. The original motorhome TL and GND wires should run to the CR-V, not to the RoadMaster Brite-Lite.
Let me know if this helps, if not, write back and we will continue.
