Availability of Taillight Converter for Going from Separate Semi Taillight Wiring to Combined

Question:

Hello, I have a semi with separate turn and brake light wires that I need to send to my small trailer where the turn and brake signals are on the same path 7pin connector I tried this 1st with a Hopkins Tail Light Converter - LED Compatible Item # HM48847 part as the description seemed correct. HOWEVER, when I wired it up I discovered that my turn signals would ONLY work if I was applying the brake pedal. I also installed a Redarc proportional brake controller on the semi to allow the trailer brakes to modulate but this isnt tied to the trailer lights through the connector. I am thinking of trying the roadmaster brite-lite option to get from the 3 to 2 wire. Is this the appropriate application? Is there a better option? Will this allow the turn signals to work even with the brake not applied? Thanks

Yes the Roadmaster taillight converter part # RM-732 is the correct adapter you'd need to combine the separate taillight circuits of your tow vehicle so you could connect them to your trailer properly.
