The Curt trailer hitch receiver you referenced, their 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch # C11756, is a correct fit for the 335i and 335xi sedans with gasoline engines. The hitch installs without drilling using included hardware. At right you will find a link to the installation instructions for this hitch receiver.
I have also linked for you two articles with helpful general tips for hitch installation.

Please note that this light-duty hitch has a tongue weight capacity of 200-lbs and maximum trailer weight rating of 2000-lbs. Your BMW sedan may have different weight ratings so it is appropriate to check your owner's manual (or with your local dealership, using your VIN number) to confirm the vehicle's tongue weight and towing capabilities. The lower of the two ratings becomes the overall limit for the system.

Curt requires that any non-trailer load, such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, be supported by their stabilizing strap # 18050. This is a requirement for maintaining the limited lifetime warranty coverage on the hitch. The strap is not needed when towing a wheeled trailer of any type.

If you do plan to use an accessory item such as a bike rack or cargo carrier do please note that you need to select a compatible Class I type to work with this hitch. Bike racks are limited to a 2-bike capacity when used in a Class I hitch. Please see the linked article on hitch classes for additional guidance and information on hitch capacities.

You will find at right links to our pages for Class I bike racks and Class I cargo carriers that are compatible with this Curt hitch.
