Can 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Wiring be Installed in the Bed of a 2014 Ram 2500 with Ram Box
Question:
can you install the 7way plug inside the bed if you have the ram box model 2014 dodge 2500 truck. was wondering if you had a solution or if someone has done this before.

Expert Reply:
I actually recommend 5th wheel/gooseneck harness # 41157 since it is already assembled. You could install it in the bed of a 2014 Ram 2500 with the Ram Box feature. You would just need to install it closer to the end of the bed (unless the Ram Box extends back that far). Otherwise it would have to be installed in the Ram Box so that the wiring does through the box, down, and over to the factory 7-Way.
We haven't performed an installation on a model with the Ram Box feature since there are no 5th wheel/gooseneck hitch installation kits approved from models that have the Ram Box feature.
