Will GearDeck 17 Hitch Cargo Carrier Clear Spare Tire on 2006 Hummer H3

Will there be enough clearance with my rear door mounted spare tire?

To see if the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # H00604, will fit on your 2006 Hummer H3 with a spare tire on the back there are a few things you will need to check out on your hitch and your vehicle.
The GearDeck, # H00604, can only be used on Class III and Class IV 2-inch hitches. So you will want to make sure you have a 2-inch hitch on your Hummer.
Next, you will need to measure the distance from the center of your hitch pin hole to the farthest back part of your spare tire. This measurement will determine if the cargo carrier will clear your spare tire on your Hummer.
The measurement on the GearDeck Cargo Carrier, # H00604, is 14 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back edge of the carrier and 5 inches with the lid open. So, if the measurement you took on your vehicle is less than 14 inches it will clear your spare tire.
