The Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver you referenced, part # C11756, is a fit for the BMW 328i sedan but not for the convertible version. Curt does not offer a hitch receiver for your vehicle.
I also checked with Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch, two other prominent hitch makers, but neither of these hitch manufacturers offers one for your car.
In cases where a hitch is not offered for a given vehicle the reason is typically that the engineers have determined that either there is insufficient strength at the hitch mounting points on the frame or that the presence of other components make impossible the installation of a hitch.
If you were intending to use a bike rack with the hitch we can offer alternatives in trunk-mount 2-bike carriers. Please note that you are limited to a 2-bike capacity rack on your vehicle due to its construction. The link provided will show you all compatible trunk-mount 2-bike carriers that will work with your 3-Series convertible.
