Location of Brake Controller Install Port on 2000 GMC Yukon XL

Does my truck come with the connector already installed and if so, where do I find it and what does it look like?

Expert Reply:
The port for installing the brake controller is located in a junction box behind the emergency brake pedal. Remove the black lid from the junction box, the brake control adapter is plugged into the second slot from the left on the top row. If you need the adapter harness and you're using a Tekonsha brake controller, we offer them as part # 3025-P. If your controller doesn't have a socket on the back just wires exiting the rear, cut the black connector off the harness and wire it to the controller, color for color.
If your Yukon does not have the trailer connector, you will need part # PK11898 if the tow package wiring ends in a pigtail above the spare tire. If the tow package wiring harness ends in a socket with the plug covering it, you will need part # 30955.
